Objectives:To grasp the KAP status quo and related factors affecting the medicalinpatients for their oral medication safety and Medical health care personnel to promote theinpatients for their oral medication safety that provide basis for education programs forpromoting the inpatients for their medication safety and then do evaluation for the initial intervention program.Methods:Epidemic-transect survey was used as baisc method. Used sell-made questionnaire, researcher and his Companion conducted a survey on the Doctor(380) from Three-level hospitals in Yulong county, and the content mainly comprised three parts:General characteristics of study population, the knowledge,attitude, Behavior or behavior orientation and other obstacles for the inpatients for medication safety and Medical health care personnel to promote the inpatients for their medication safety.(KAP options using level1-5score).KAP model. Evaluation tool consisted of study population characteristics of patients and knowledge, attitude, behavior or behavior-oriented contents tor the status questionnaire. The inter-group control and self-control method was used for evaluated before and after the intervention effect. The data obtained from the above investigation were both inputted to SPSS13.0for statistical treatment.Results:The KAP status quo and related factors affecting the medications of the doctors in Yulong county Yunnan province is mainly revealed on three sides:1.poor communication between doctors and patients;2.Low level information about drugs;3.Low development of Clinical Pharmacy. Study of the impact factors for the overall knowledge,attitude and behavior level's changes:1. Knowledge:doctors from county hospital:41.6%,42.9%;doctors from rural hospital:41.5%,45.3%;doctors from rural clinic:50.8%.2.Attitude:doctors from county hospital:38.3%,44.8%,45.5%;doctors from rural hospital:43.4%,38.7%,39.6%;doctois fro mruraklinic:43.4%,38.7%,39.6%.3.Behavior:doctorsfromcountyhospital:49.4%,;d octors from rural hospital:45.3%;doctors from rural clinic:44.3%.Intervention activities, payment type was positively correlated with the cognitive level(P=0.00) intervention activities was positively correlated(P=0.00) with the attitude level, Intervention activities was positively correlated (P=0.00) with the behavior level.Conclusion:The cognitive, attitudes for medical patients for their oral medication salety are medium level, while lower level behavior; The factors affecting the KAP status quo analysis revealed that the behavior level lor patients with medical and musing staff involved in medication safety and promoting their participation are mainly positively related with corresponding knowledge, attitude and behavior levels,but also related with other objective and subjective factors.About patients involved in medication salety and health education under the guidance of the KAP model achieved good results:cognitive, attitudes, behavior or conduct orientation changed dramatically. But if sustained higher knowledge, attitude and behavior or behavior-oriented level, it would need to carry out long-term repeated health education in order to strengthen the effectiveness.
