Neonatal sepsis was the serious bacterial infectious disease, also is the clinical common neonatal extremely critical disease, and one that caused the neonatal period disability and the main cause of death. Now diagnosis of neonatal sepsis is still hard because of lacked a fast and reliable means of detection. we stay in our retrospective analysis of infants in the neonatal Ward, to assess PCT, hs-CRP indicators such as the value of neonatal sepsis, diagnosis and proper treatment in time to guide clinical, reducing neonatal mortality. Objective:Discussion and evaluation of value of PCT and hs-CRP in early diagnosis of neonatal sepsis, and comparision with the known bacterial infection markers.Method:Collected between September2010and November2011neonates admitted in our hospital newborn (3-28days of age) a total of183cases for the study, according to the last discharge diagnosis group, a local group, sepsis with complications of sepsis is divided into group infected and non-infected group, gathering clinical data and laboratory indicators and statistical analysis.Result:1,PCT and hs-CRP are both have a higher diagnostic accuracy, but compared with hs-CRP, PCT has a higher degree of sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and some indices, on the diagnostic accuracy and authenticity, PCT more taller than the hs-CRP chips;2,in the diagnosis of neonatal sepsis, PCT and hs-CRP are much better than the white blood cell count and the diagnostic value of platelet-neutrophil percentage,(P<0.05);3,PCT and hs-CRP are associated with severity of sepsis. And PCT is more severitive than hs-CRP; Conclusion:PCT as a diagnosis in neonatal sepsis, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value to more than hs-CRP, can be used as a reference in diagnosis of sepsis; while accurately reflecting the severity of sepsis, severe complications and clinical condition of mitigation, effectively guiding the use of antibiotics.
