Objective To investigate the relationship between bone mineral density and clinical indicators in the elderly male COPD patients who received long-term (=6months) inhaled corticosteroids treatment Methods109COPD patients were selected, in which51patients have osteoporosis (OP group) and58non-osteoporotic patients (NOP group),50healthy people were choosed as control group (NC group). tested COPD patients'lung function, and ran the following tests on both experimental group and control group:bone mineral density, Albumin, Serum total protein, Alanine aminotransferase, Aspartate aminotransferase, Blood urea nitrogen, Creatinine, Serum uricacid,Total cholesterol Triglyceride, High density lipoprotein, Low density lipoprotein, Body mass index, Systolic blood pressure and Diastolic blood pressureMethods109COPD patients were selected, in which51patients have osteoporosis (OP group) and58non-osteoporotic patients (NOP group),50healthy people were choosed as control group (NC group), tested COPD patients' lung function, and ran the following tests on both experimental group and control group:bone mineral density, Albumin, Serum total protein, Alanine aminotransferase, Aspartate aminotransferase, Blood urea nitrogen, Creatinine, Serum uricacid,Total cholesterol, Triglyceride, High density lipoprotein, Low density lipoprotein, Body mass index, Systolic blood pressure and Diastolic blood pressure. Results (1)In the NC group, body Weight positively related to the BMD of L1, L2, L3, L4,L1-L4, femoral neck, greater trochanter.'The BMI and BMD of L1, L3, L4and L1-L4were positively correlated, and there was statistically significance (P<0.05).(2)In the COPD group, the Age and femoral neck, greater trochanter BMD was negatively correlated. Body Weight, BMI, and LI, L2, L3, and L4and the L1-L4, femoral neck, greater trochanter BMD were positively correlated. And statistically significance (P<0.05).(3) Bone mineral density of NC group> the NOP group> the OP group (P<0.05), Statistically significant.(4) Inhaled corticosteroids cumulative dosage (mg) and inhaled corticosteroids (months) was negatively correlated with the L4and L1-L4BMD, Statistically significant (P <0.05). L4BMD (P<0.01).(5)the osteoporosis risk factors of elderly male COPD patients in Kunming area are age, the bright sunshine duration<2hours/day, the course of the disease (years) with COPD, glucocorticoid application time. Protective factors are body weight, BMI, and reducing the cumulative use of glucocorticoid.Conclusion1,(1) the risk factors of elderly male COPD patients in Kunming area are age, the bright sunshine duration<2hours/day, the course of the disease (years) with COPD, time of using glucocorticoid. Glucocorticoid as drug factors increase the risk of osteoporosis.(2) maintaining appropriate body weight, BMIreducing glucocorticoid cumulative amount could prevent osteoporosis in elderly male COPD patients.2. Inhaled corticosteroids cumulative dosage (mg) and time of using inhaled corticosteroids (months) was negatively correlated with the L4and L1-L4BMD values, L4BMD was siginificantly inversely related3,Han elderly male patients in Kunming region with COPD who inhaled conventional doses of glucocorticoid, BMD colud dramatically reduced, increasing the risk of osteoporosis, bone density examination should recommoneded for those patients to avoid the incidence of osteoporosis. Objective To analysis Whether there is a correlation between the polymorphism of ATP-binding cassette subfamily B member1(ABCB1) gene C3435T site and Kunming Han Ethnic male COPD patients with glucocorticoid-induced bone metabolism.Methods109COPD cases were random choosed (51of them have osteoporosis,58have non-osteoporosis)and50healthy cases (NC) were randomly collected as control case(NC). Genomic DNA was extracted and ABCB1C3435T polymorphism was detected with PCR-RFLP method.Result:1-. after studying the relation of ABCB1gene C3435T polymorphism and glucocorticoid hormone dose results we found that the CC genotype inhaled the largest corticosteroids cumulative amount and used longest inhaled glucocorticoid (p <0.05). Difference was statistically significant2,(1) Kunming elderly male patients with COPD complicated by the risk factors of osteoporosis with age, bright sunshine duration<2hours, glucocorticoid application time.(2) Kunming elderly male patients with COPD complicated by the protection factors for osteoporosis. Body weight, BMI, the ABCB1gene C3435T CC genotype and CT genotype.3,ABCB1gene C3435T CC genotype frequency distribution in the NOP group, C allele distribution frequency of63.8%Conclusion:1,ABCB1gene C3435T genotype (CC) and genotype (CT) were protective factors, which means C allele is a protective factors for elderly male COPD patients with osteoporosis using inhaled corticosteroids in the treatment2, the distribution of frequency of the ABCB1gene C3435T there are racial differences...
