Objective:The aims of this study to retrospective analysis short-term results of different group and evaluate quality of life (QoL) different time periods.Methods:A total of86rectal cancer cases were collected from the1department of general surgery the first hospital of Lanzhou University between2009-01--2010-10. and divided into46had undergone Dixon(Anterior resection AR) and22APR(Abdominoperineal resection Miles) and18had undergone coloanal anastomosis (Parks). Patients were followed up for12months, and observed in the short-term postoperative complications; postoperative3,12months of QoL was assessed by the EORTC questionnaires QLQ-C30) and by a short questionnaire, different statistical methods were used based on different data for between each group for group.Result:Parks group in the length stay, hospital expenses have advantage than Dixon and Miles group,such as anastomotic leakage, postoperative bleeding, wound infection, recurrence, and intestinal obstruction were no differences.The quality of life, after3months postoperative, the main role function areas, Dixon group and Miles group has difference (P1=0.004), Parks has no difference than Miles (P3=0.005); Symptoms field, main performance in diarrhea (P1=0.001, P30.002); Postoperative12months except in the overall health, Dixon and Parks compared with Miles have difference (P<0.001), other function area or symptoms field, no difference between each group was not statistically significant.Conclusion:Dixon and Parks are good operation method in low and ultra-low rectal cancer surgery, good long-term quality of life, reduce unnecessary Permanent colostomy, improved the quality of life.
