With the explosive increase of data, the development of the computer technology and the algorithm of the data mining. Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD) has being generalized to finance, medical, telecom, manufacturing and manufacturing and so on. At the same time, more and more BI tools or data mining software such as DeepSee and Clementine had been applied, which made the data mining process more and more convenience.As for the medical field, the degree of hospital information keeps increasing for the development of Hospital Information System (HIS). There are many rules or knowledge hidden in the data of the information system, including the management information and the clinic information. We could improve the management level of hospital and the efficiency of the doctors and nurses by applying the knowledge mined from the HIS in diagnosis, administration of drug and so on. These will greatly benefit the health care of people and the insurance agencies also will appreciate that. Compared with other fields, data mining in medical data is more complexity for the special status that medicine is a necessity, not merely an optional pleasure, luxury, or convenience for human being. We should balance the expected benefits of research against any inconvenience or possible injury to the patients. And On the technical side, the process is more difficult for the Poor mathematical characterization of the medical data.This paper made two data mining process based on the HIS of a hospital in Zhejiang Province which is about the hospital management and clinic diagnosis for each. We made a research of the Waiting-Time of the Inspection in radiology department from three aspects: weekday, hour, vocation. And For the clinic diagnosis, we applied the BP neural network to forecast the The Length of Stay (LOS) in hospital of the inpatients to support the doctors and hospitals make the decision.
