The Research Of A Knowledge Sharing Platform Based On P2P And C/S Hyprid Model

The scientists in the organization have accumulated a lot of knowledge resources during the research process,including the research literature in the individual computer, the experiment data, and the expert experience in mind,etc.These resources include not only the official publications accumulated by the scientists but also the grey literature such as the experiment data and the research report,which is flexible,time-sensitive and full of information. The current scholarly publishing model can only realize the storage and sharing of the official publications.It can not take full advantage of the grey literature and the tacit knowledge in the minds of experts.And for internal publications and exchange of information,the scholarly model will not meet the demand obviously.Thus,we propose a knowledge sharing model for the organization.And we design a knowledge sharing platform under the model,which can manage the resources that can be used in the organization reasonably and effectively ,and share them to each other.It plays a very good rule in promoting the work of research in the organization.In this paper,we mainly do the following works:First,the author does research in the demand of knowledge sharing in the organization through literature research and expert consultation methods.Promote the knowledge sharing model of P2P and C/S integrated,forming the prototype of the model according to the demand.There are mainly three models of the exsiting knowledge sharing model.The model based on C/S is not able to achieve the individual interaction.The knowledge can only be issued and updated by the web server ;The model based on C-> C/S model dues to too much information on the internet with no regular pattern,can easily cause information overload and confusing;The model based on P2P can achieve personal interaction.But the marginalization of resource storage makes the knowledge lack of effective management and search mechanism. This paper promotes the knowledge sharing model of P2P and C/S integrated,which can meet the needs of institutional knowledge sharing.It can not only fully make use of the personal initiativity within the organization,making the knowlege to be builded by all the individuals but also make the knowledge managed and displayed well through the center. Second, according to the proposed knowledge sharing model,the author analyzes the requirements of the platform to be achieved and makes the overall design through the Software Engineering method. The requirement analysis includes functional requirements, information flow, performance and usage requirements. The platform includes both client and center functional modules. The client is responsible for knowledge acquisition, personal knowledge management, instant messaging; The center is responsible for knowledge display, such as search display and navigation display.Besides, the center is also responsible for the management and maintenance of the platform. Then, make the overall design of the platform, including the system architecture and network topology, etc. According to the the requirements of knowledge sharing in the organization ,system architecture uses presentation layer, business logic, data access layer of the three-tier design architecture and network topology uses layered structure.Third,the author designs and implements the search component,the rule component and the navigation component of the institutional knowledge sharing platform through the Object-Oriented method.The implementation is according to the layered architecture of the UI layer, Business Logic Layer(center Business Logic Layer and componet Business Logic layer) and Data Access Layer,using Java, JSP, AJAX and other technologies..We use the full-text search framework of Lucene to design and achieve the full-text search . The trial run of the platform shows that the implementation of the core components can run normally in the platform,and it can be used to support the full and effective sharing of the knowledge in the organization.Finally, the paper discusses of the shortcomings of the platform and the places to be improved.The development of professional rules of the platform also needs the guidance of industry experts. The integration testing is needed and the multi-level center can be builded further.The main contributions of this paper are(1) Proposes a P2P and C/S integrated model of institutional knowledge sharing, meeting the demand of institutional knowledge sharing. Forms the prototype of knowledge sharing model.(2) Designs the knowledge sharing platform according to the proposed knowledge sharing model.And implement the search component, the rule component and the navigation component of the platform.On the one hand, the establishment of the platform provides support for the deep mine of institutional knowledge, the mine of the tacit knowlede of the expert, full use of the role of the experts and the effective sharing and utilization of explicit and tacit knowledg of the institution.On the other hand, the method to implement the institutional knowledge sharing in this paper can provide theoretical reference for others'further research.
