Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of transurethral endoscopy technique to examine and treat the seminal vesicle and ejaculatory duct with ureteroscope. Methods:A prospective randomized controlled clinical trial was carried out. A total of 108 patients with cystospermitis were randomly divided into 2 groups, which were chosen from the patients were treated in hospital during March 2009 to March 2011. In group A,58 cases of patients were diagnosed and treated with the transurethral ureteroscope;and in group B,50 cases of patients were received conventional treatment of antibiotic. All the patients were followed up in order to record the cure rates and adverse reaction. Results:No significant difference was found between group A and group B from age, course, causes, symptoms and adverse reactions (P>0.05) In group A,45 cases were cured,11 cases were improved and 2 cases were ineffective; with cure rate of 77.6% and improvement rate of 96.6%. In group B, cured in 30 cases, improved in 11 cases and ineffective of 2 cases; with cure rate of 60.0% and improvement rate of 82.0%. There were significant differences in cure rates and improvement rates between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion:Just by using existing ureteroscopy equipment in clinical, we can examine and treat the seminal vesicle and ejaculatory duct, in order to improve clinical outcomes. |
