Objective: In this study, we evaluated the effects and the safety of Human tissue urokinase plasminogen activator (HTUPA)by intravenous infusion in patients with AMI.Method: Patient Selection: There were total 40 patients with AMI in our hospital attending this study .The institution ethics review board of Liaoning province people'hospital approved the study protocol. We obtained informed written consent from patients after explaining the procedure and risk. 40 patients were randomly allocated to two groups according to random number table. One group was received HTUPA intravenous therapy, the other group was received rt-PA. The safety and efficiency had been observed based on coronary angiography, lab results and clinical symptoms. Results: 1.According to coronary angiography, there were total 16 patients with coronary reperfusion in HTUPA group(16/19), including 11 patients with TIMI 3,5 patients with TIMI 2 and 3 patients with TIMI 1and TIMI zero ;while there were total 11 patients with coronary reperfusion in rt-PA group(17/21), including 13 patients with TIMI 3,4 patients with TIMI 2 and 4 patients with TIMI 1and TIMI zero. The rate of coronary reperfusion was not significant different between two groups(P=0.787). 2. There was no significant difference about adverse events ,including cardiac rupture, malignant ventricular arrhythmias, acute cardiac failure, early myocardial reinfartion, and died while hospitalization between two groups(P=0.218). 3.There was no significant difference about hemorrhage risk of different position between two groups (P=0.361).Conclusions: 1.The intravenous therapy of HTUPA for patients with AMI was feasible and safe.2. The rate of coronary reperfusion was the same as that of rt-PA. 3. HTUPA was suitable for patients with AMI because of less time of administration, less dose and no reapeted administration.
