Objective:Many studies reported that achievement could be enhanced by muscle's acupuncture in sports. Muscle fiber typical can chang by trained in low oxygen environment,associated with acupuncture of points. Evidence from changed MHC mRNA and HIF-1 mRNA in SD rats.Methods:Four groups,64 male SD rats in all, were involved in the control group, and 73day-acupuncture group,7day-acupuncture group and 14-day-acupuncture group (n= 8). Points of Zusanli and Cheng Shan were obtained from "The Standard Illustrations of Medical Experimental Animals". First the experimental rats were trapped their necks, which would given rise to their heard rate(>400cpm) and respiration rate(>90RR).Blue jaundice of lips and all fours indicated that is mild or moderate oxygen deficit.The incitation was carried out for 30 minutes at the interval period of 3-5min,120-140 circle/min and 30-60s of stillness with 0.3×15 mm2 acupuncture needle. Semi-quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was applied to detect total MHC mRNA and HIF-1 mRNA accumulation of the soleus, extensor digitorum longus.Results:1) Significantly, A rising trend of the total accumulation of MHC mRNA appeared in soleus..the percentage of MHCI mRNA accumulations of soleus were decreased with the prolonging acupuncture days, A significant difference in the decreased level of MHCI mRNA and the increased level of MHCIIa mRNA of was observed in 14-day-acupuncture group (P< 0.05). 2) A rising trend of the total accumulation of MHC mRNA appeared in extensor digitorum longus. An simillar trend of the total accumulation of MHCI mRNA was observed in 7-day-acupuncture group and 14-day-acupuncture group with longer incitation. The increased level of MHCI mRNA was in consistent with acupuncture time. The significant difference in MHCI mRNA increase and MHCIIb mRNA decrease was detected (P< 0.05). 3) A rising trend of the total accumulation of HIF-1 mRNA appeared in soleus.., An inverse trend of the total accumulation of HIF-1 mRNA was observed in 7-day-acupuncture group and 14-day-acupuncture group with longer incitation.Conclusion:1) MHCI mRNA accumulations of soleus were decreased with the prolonging acupuncture days, MHCIIa mRNA accumulations of soleus were increased with the prolonging acupuncture days, andMHCI mRNA accumulations of were increased extensor digitorum longus, MHCIIb mRNA accumulations of were decreased extensor digitorum longus with the prolonging.the changeable fiber types of skeletal muscle could be explained.2) HIF-1 of male rat's will have changed after muscle by accuputure in hypoxia condition3) In inside muscle subtype of MHC can chang eath other.
