ObjectiveThe purpose of this study was to observe if the bone marrow fluid applied onto the skin defect area could be affect the healing precess.MethodsThirty Wistar rats, male, weighing 200g, were randomly divided into 2 groups, with 15 rats in each group. Animal model with 10mm×20cm skin defects (dermal depth) on the back of the rats was made. In group A, bone marrow fluid extracted from the femour cond, was multi-point injected onto the wound in the back. In group B, instead of the bone marrow fluid, only 0.9% saline fliud was injected onto the wound. Gross and histological examinations were made at the 3rd, 7th and 14th day postoperatively.ResultsGeneral observation: after 3 days, the wound was dark red and swelling in both Group A and Group B. After 7 days, The experiment group (group A) were significantly more efficient in wound contraction than the control group (group B). after 14 days, Histopathological examination showed that fibroblast proliferation and angiogenesis in experimental group were higher than that in the control group.ConclusionBone marrow can promote tissue repair and speed up the skin healing after injection in the reticular dermis of skin defects.
