Skin Autologous Bone Marrow Transplantation, Cuttlebone With Sodium Hyaluronate Treatment Of Bone Defects Animal Studies

Abstract/Summary:
Objective: To investigate the ability of repairing bone defect with the compound ofself-marrow ,Haipiaoxiao, and Sodium hyaluronate( SH),and the feasibility of the compounds which are used as bone substitute materials.Methods: 48 adult New Zealand rabbits were divided into four groups(A, B, C and D)randomly, 12 in each group. 10 mm bone defects(10mm in length) were created in the right radius of the animal, but the periosteum was remained. The rabbits of group A were treated by self-marrow, Haipiaoxiao, and Sodium hyaluronate( SH), and the group B treated by self-marrow and Haipiaoxiao. Haipiaoxiao and Sodium hyaluronate ( SH)was implanted into the group C, while the group D was implanted into nothing. All above-mentioned groups should make general histological examination and X-ray test, get the histological score, compare the renewed bone's area at 2, 4, 8, .12 weeks respectively, and take the group B and C as the contrast groups to compare and analyze the function of implant and repair among all the groups as well.Results: The bone defect were repaired with selt-marrow, Haipiaoxiao, and Sodiumhyaluronate( SH), the effect assessed by biomechanical test in every observed phase., have statistically significant difference with others groups. There were some differences between Self-arrow with Haipiaoxiao (B group) and Haipiaoxiao with Sodium hyaluronate ( SH) (C group). The effect of group C was much more worse than group A in bone's recovery. And at 12 weeks the most bone's defect position of D group were filled by fiber and muscle ,only little of them were repaired.Conclusions: The compound of self-marrow, Haipiaoxiao, and Sodiumhyaluronate( SH) posses much assisted-ability of rebuilding bone defect and can be served as a substitute material. At the same time ,we can conclude that Sodium hyaluronate( SH) can nurture the cells in marrow and promote the cell's breaking and generation, but the mechanism is worthy of to be researched.
