ObjectiveArterio-venous invasion of peripheral pulmonary were detected by multi-slice spiral CT arterio-venous separation post-processing techniques compared with the pathologic results to investigate the application value of the technique of multi-slice spiral CT (MSCT)3D arterio-venous separation in the peripheral pulmonary cancerMethodsAnalyzed the invasion of 97 patients who had peripheral pulmonary cancer by the means of MSCT 3D arterio-venous separation and pathology, respectively. Set 35 Inflammatory nodules for the matched control. Each group underwent dual-phase enhancement computer tomography and the artery and vein were discriminated using post-processing techniques, the number of artery and vein invaded by peripheral pulmonary or nodules infringe in dual-phase were counted.ResultsThe 97 peripheral pulmonary cancer with the multi-slice spiral CT detection totally infringes upon afferent 351 vessels and 244 lung veins (69.5%).In 35 matched controls, nodules infringe upon 120 Vessels and 56 veins(46.7%).the difference is significant (P<0.001). The patients are divided intoⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲstage by UICC lung cancer staging system, and the ratio of the vein invasion is 51.2%,71.0% and 88.0% respectively. The difference is significant(P<0.001). In the pathologic results,433 arteries and 327 veins were invaded in 97peripheral pulmonary(75.5%), while 186 arteries and 79 veins were invaded in 35 nodules infringe(46.7%),the invasion of arterio-venous shows significant difference (p<0.001) and the result detected by methods of ct or pathology shows no difference.Conclusion MSCT 3D arterio-venous separation by post-processing techniques can show the infringe upon lung artery and vein in the peripheral pulmonary cancers .It can be applied in the diagnosis and judgment disease of the peripheral pulmonary cancers.
