| Objective:Periphery facial paralysis is one of the most popular neurologic disease.It ascribes facial paralysis as koupi,distorted of mouth and eyes in TCM.The cause should be lack of vatal-qi,vain of channels and collaterals,at the same time the invasion of the wind evil is the cause of the weakness of the body to affect the functions of Yangming and Shaoyang channels.It led to stagnation of the qi and the facial nerves lack of nutrition so that they paralyzed.Most patients find one-side of facial paralysising in the morning.It shows:on the forehead the wrinkles disappear.The eyes can not close completely.The nasal groove shoaling and the mouth slante to the healthy side.The patients can not show teeth,whistle,lour and so on.Although PFP is not a very severe disease, it affects the patients' appearance seriously.What's more important,it may bring the psychological pressure and also affect people's dailylife and their work.At present, there are some problems to resolve in treating PFP with acupuncture in TCM.My research is based on strict designs,advanced methods and reasonal indexes so that we can get the curative effects and best puncturing time,at the same time it shows the feasibility and advances of treating PFP with acupuncture. Based on the strictness of TCM and under my tutor's guidances, observing the clinical effect of treating PFP with acupuncture between the acute stage and the recovery stage,seeking the most effective method for PFP, shortening the period of the treatmentand and resolving the problem of the best acupuncturing time.Methods:Based on "Clinical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Standard of Common Disease" published by Union Medical University of China in 1993,as well as bring-into and exclusive standard.The 84 PFP cases are selected in acupuncture office of Wuhan TCM Hospital.They are divided into two groups:the treatment group which was treated with acupuncture and the control group which was treated with normal treatment.The treatment group has 42 cases,including 23 males and 19 females,whose average age is 35.2±10.1.The control group has 42 cases,including 22 males and 20 females,their average age is 35.5±11.5. The treatment group were treated everyday.The treatment was given 6 times per week,lasting four periods of treatment as each period is 7 days and resting a day.Treatment:The treatment group take yangbai,sibai,yingxiang,dicang,xiaguan,jiache,qianzheng,yifeng,juliao,quanliao,hegu acupoints.After regular sterilized,using the 0.25×40mm needles to needling in the skin with quick needle insertion.Twirl the needles in every 10 minutes. The retain the needles for 30 minutes,at the same time using the TDP to radiate the paralyzed face.The clinical therapeutic effect was assessed separately in the treatment group and the control group,and the data was dealt with SPSS.Results:1,There is comparability between the two groups by t-test.Make sense the research. 2,The studies showed:the treatment group cure rate is 69.04%,effective rate is 16.67%,effective rate of 11.90%,2.38% invalid rate,the total effective rate is 97.62%;the rcontrol group cure rate is 57.14%,effective rate is 21.43%,effective rate of 14.29%,7.14% invalid rate,the total effective rate is 92.86%.There are statistically significant differents between the two groups (P<0.01).It makes sense to go on the research.The results showes that the treatment of PFP with acupuncture in the acute stage is better than that with the normal treatment.3,PFP of the five major symptoms:facial expressions are not natural,the eyes close incomplete,shallow nasal groove,mouth oblique,the wrinkles of the forehead disappear.We observed two groups and then found that the treating with acupuncture could significantly improve the five major symptoms above.What's more important is the integration become lower.The research showed that treating PFP with acupuncture in the acute stage is better than that with the normal treatment.By the comparison with SPSS,P<0.05,there is a very significant difference.It makes sense that the acute stage is the best time to cure PFP.Conclusion:Through my clinical research,it shows that the clinical effect of PFP is related to the treatment's opportunity and different stages.What's more,acute stage is the best opportunity in treatment for the peripheral facial paralysis. |
