Objectives Through the analysis of general investigation of health service about different areas of Hebei province, making the survey among two-week incidence rate with the sex, age as well as education level and income of family, serious level of illness, the distance to the nearest health organization and medical insurance. To understand the demanding and utilization of community health service of Hebei province ,through which to reveal the main and internal regular factors that affects the residents'demanding and utilization of health service, in order to improve the accessibility of health service of Hebei province and optimization of health resources ,provide references for the health reform. Furthermore it can improve the health level of the urban and rural residents.Methods The resources of this research is mainly from the family indoor investigation information and its data of the forth health service investigation of Hebei province in 2008.The research method is mainly by descriptive statistics, principal component analysis, and Multiple Regression and Correlation Analysis to analyze the available data and use SPSS13.0 software to process the dataResults1. The investigation shows that the two-week clinical treatment rate of urban and rural residents is 11.13%, non clinical treatment rate is 70.16%. Compared to 2003 the two-week clinical treatment of urban and rural residents of Hebei province showed the tendency of decrease, while the two-week non clinical treatment is obviously raised up.2.Single factors shows that, among the sociological factors, age as well as education level,income of family,serious level of illness, medical insurance have statistical meaning with two-week physical treatment rate . Equally, sex and distance to the nearest health organization influence the two-week physical treatment rate unclearly. The two-week physical treatment rate of female is higher than male. The age of two-week physical treatment rate under fifteen and order than sixty is higher than others. People, who with lower level of education, have higher two-week physical treatment rate than other group.Among these no hospitalized residents, 56.2% of them believe it is not serious. Investigation shows that 85.87% urban and rural residents can reach the grass-root health organization within one kilometer; it makes up a very low rate for those people in and out of three kilometers to reach the clinical spot.50.3% residents can reach the grass-root health organization within ten minutes, for those who need thirty minutes is 3.18%.The rural and urban residents tends to choose the convenient medical organization to see the doctor.3. This survey shows that 88.4% urban and rural residents have different social medical insurance, the social medical insurance recovery and its compensation level increased.4. Serious level of illness, education level and age are the major factors for two-week physical treatment rate. It is analyzed by the Multiple Regression and Correlation Analysis.Conclusion1. The demands for health service increased, and urban and rural residents have strong demand on choosing convenience and cheep health service especially. However, the utilization of health service for urban and rural residents is not enough. And the two-week physical treatment rate of urban and rural residents is 11.1%, lower than 2003's.2.The status of accessibility of health service is well, and distance of residents go to the nearest medical organization is proper and convenient. The extent of social medical insurance is increasing and compensate level is improving.3. Age as well as education level,income of family,serious level of illness, medical insurance have statistical meaning with two-week physical treatment rate. Among these factors, serious level of illness, education level and age are the major factors for two-week physical treatment rate.
