ObjectiveDiabetic nephropathy (diabetic nephropathy,DN) is one of the serious complications of diabetes,With the aggravation of the disease could eventually lead to end-stage renal failure (ESRD),and Seriously affect the quality of life of patients,The found of that vascular endothelial growth factor(Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor , VEGF) , neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin,NGAL) are both closely related to the development of diabetic nephropathy,This experiment is intended to analysis the changes of serum VEGF,NGAL in type 2 diabetes associated with kidney damage and discusses the influence factors of VEGF and NGAL, and the correlation between the two.Methods1 Patients researched 64 hospitalized diabetic patients were selected in endocrine department, and 20 healthy volunteers were selected as normal control group(NC group) in medical examination center of the Affiliated Kai Luan Hospital of Hebei Union University from December 2009 to December 2010 with research. The average age of 64 cases type 2 diabetic patients , contain 33 males and 30 females, was 60.37±8.39. The average age of 20 cases healthy volunteer ,contain 10 males and 10 females was 55.67±9.65.2 Researching methods All subjects were fasting early morning co -llect blood 3ml,separate the blood serum, -20℃refrigerator spare. Survely BMI,SBP,DBP,FBG,PBG,HbA1c, SCr ,UA,BUN,UAER ,UAlb/Cr of all patients in DM group. After a pre-experiment to do a formal experiment, measured the serum VEGF and NGAL OD values of all subjects with ELISA methods, calculated the concentration according to the standard concentration curve in turn. All data were analyzed with SPSS16.0 software, and explore the VEGF,NGAL and other related indicators.Results1.The serum VEGF of the different UAlb / Cr leves in diabetic patients and normal controls were analyzed by One-Way ANOVA.The results showed that: the serum VEGF of four groups were significantly different (P <0. 05). The serum levels of VEGF in diabetic nephropathy was significantly higher than the normal control group, and with the increase of urinary albumin excretion serum VEGF levels were elevated.2.The serum NGAL of the different UAlb / Cr leves in diabetic patients and normal controls were analyzed by One-Way ANOVA.The results showed that: the serum VEGF of four groups were significantly different (P <0. 05).serum NGAL levels in the diabetic group swere higher than normal,in the diabetic group was higher than macroalbuminuria group and microalbuminuria group.3. The serum VEGF in diabetic and the course of disease, systolic blood pressure (SBP),diastole blood pressure(DBP),serum creatinine (SCr),blood urea nitrogen (BUN),urinary albumin excretion rate (UAER),Fasting blood glucose(FBG)is single-variable correlation (P <0. 05).NGAL in diabetic with basic clinical data and renal function indexes do correlation analysis, serum NGAL in diabetic and the Fasting blood glucose(FBG), serum creatinine (SCr), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), urinary albumin excretion rate (UAER) is single-variable correlation (P <0. 05).4.serum VEGF as the dependent variable to the basic clinical data and renal function parameters for the independent variable, multiple regression analysis showed that:VEGF and response indicators of renal damage to urinary protein excretion rate ,serum creatinine ,blood urea nitrogen were positively correlated ,indicating that with the progess of renal damage increased. 5.serum NGAL as the dependent variable to the basic clinical data and renal function parameters for the independent variable, multiple regression analysis showed that: NGAL and response indicators of renal damage to urinary protein excretion, serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen were negatively correlated, indicating the reduced with renal impairment.Conclusion1 The blood serum VEGF in diabetic were significantly higher than normal person, and patients with renal damage were gradually increasing trend with the increasing of albuminuria.2 The blood serum NGAL in diabetic with renal damage were significantly lower than normal person, and normal albuminuria diabetic ,were gradually reduced with the increasing of albuminuria.3 The blood serum VEGF,NGAL was associated in diabetic with renal damage ,with the increasing of SCr, BUN,UAER.Higher levels of VEGF, lower levels of serum NGAL.
