Study On HER-2 Expression Of Thyroid Cancer And Its Relationship With Some Factors

Objective:To analyze the risk factors of thyroid cancer and to provide scientific basis for the prevention and treament of thyroid cancer.Method:A case-case control study was carried out in Dalian including 21 cases and 29 controls. Study subjects who had pathological diagnosed malignant thyroid cancer were chosen from in hospital patients of affiliated Zhongshan Hospital of Dalian University from January 2008 to December 2009. According to HER-2 was negative or positive, study subjects were divided into case group and control group, and carried out face to face surveys by trained investigators on the case and control using unified design of the questionnaire. The main contents of questionnaire included that general state of health, life behavior, eating habit, psychological factor, women history of bearing, the history of disease, the family history of cancer, et al. Data were input to the computer by the software of EXCEL 2003 and analyzed with Chi-square test, T test and the univariate and multivariate Logistic regression by the software of SPSS 17.0.Result:The result showed that there was none significantly difference between the two groups in the aspect of gender, life behavior, eating habit, and so on. But there was significantly difference in the aspect of armpit lymph node metastases, tumor staging in thyroid cancer and age. According the result of multiple logistic regression, there was positive correlation between HER-2 positive of thyroid cancer patients and the armpit lymph node metastases.Conclusion:There was none relationship between HER-2 positive patients and HER-2 negative patients of thyroid cancer in the aspect of gender, life behavior, eating habit. But the HER-2 expression of thyroid cancer was related to armpit lymph node metastases and tumor staging in thyroid cancer.
