Objective: To detect protein of MPO,IL-18 and INF-γin normal human coronary artery pulse group and coronary atherosclerosis group by immunohisto -chemistry and the correlation between the three. We analyze the relationship between inflammatory index and plague stability, for future clinical diagnosis of coronary heart disease effectively, treatment and prognosis evaluation of experimental evidence. Methods: According to medical history and visual observation, we were classified as 15 normal cases and 45 atherosclerosis coronary artery from 60 autopsied cases. By separating the coronary and HE staining, these samples were divided into normal control group (15 cases), stable plaque group (22 patients) and unstable plaque group (23 cases).Detected by immunohistochemistry plaque CD68,MPO,IL-18 and INF-γexpression of their own. Nonparametric statistics and Spearmantest are applied in statistics treatment. Results: This study found that, MPO protein can be expressed in endomembrane o -f atherosclerosis coronary artery, and mainly in the subintimal part of the cytoplasm of macrophages, foam cells and also cholesterol fractured cytoplasm between the end omet -rium. In normal control group, no MPO expression (-).There is significant difference b- etween unstable plaque group and stable plaque group (P = 0.033, P = 0.000), and highe -r level manifested in unstable plagues. IL-18 protein expressed in the intima of corona- -y lesions and mainly in the core area of plaque lipid and macrophage foam cell cytopla -sm, partly expressed in the cytoplasm of smooth muscle cells and endothelialcells.Ther -e is no IL-18 expression in normal control group, and significant difference between un -stable plaque group and stable plaque can be detected, and higher level manifested in unstable plagues. (P = 0.000, P = 0.000). INF-γexpression in lesions of the coronary ar- tery intima, and coronary atherosclerotic plaque area was mainly expressed in macropha -ges and foam cells in the cytoplasm, some expressed in the cytoplasm of smooth musc- le cells. There is no INF-γexpression in normal control group, significant difference bet -ween unstable plaque group and stable plaques can be detected, and higher level manif -ested in unstable plagues (P = 0.000, P = 0.000). Non-parametric Spearman rank cor- relation statistical analysis showed that: Positive correlation between MPO and IL-18 expression in Spearman tests (r = 0.305, P = 0.002), and positive correlation between M PO and INF-γexpression in atherosclerotic coronary (r = 0.405, P = 0.000).Conclusion: 1. MPO, IL-18 and INF-γexpression can be detected in atherosclerot- ic plaques, and expression level is higher in unstable plaque group than stable plaque gr- oup , while no expression in normal coronary group. 2. Positive correlation between MP O and IL-18 in the region of coronary atherosclerosis suggests that MPO is in coordinat -ion with IL-18 during the development of atherosclerotic plaque.3. Positive correlation between MPO and INF-γin the region of coronary atherosclerosis suggests that MPO is in coordination with INF-γduring the development of atherosclerotic plaque.
