| OBJECTIVEThe search for the expression and clinical significance of kallikrein 7 in glioma and in difference clinical stage,difference hidtology grade and difference pathology type. Approach the relationships of clinical pathology factor and glioma,especially the spongioblastoma. To search and assessment the kallikrein 7 whether or not is the new marker of early diagnosis and prognosis detective. Represent the clinical significance of kallikrein 7 for to diagnose and treatment glioma, understand the associativity of klk7 and spongioblastoma's prognosis.MethodsTo select the case spongioblastoma(WHOâ…¢-â…£grade) 32 example and gliocytoma(WHOâ… -â…¡grade) 40 example in department of neurosurgery of jinan's a military district Gen Hosp duration 2009 . 10 to 2010.12 .all these not accept chemotherapy and radiotherapy in preoperative. Meanwhile to obtain nomal brain tissue 20 example for compare. From 18 years to 60 years, mean 50 years. Age sensitivity are not statistically significant in interblock. All example been final diagnosis at pathology. Reverse Polymerase Chain Reaction(RT-PCR) method and agarose gel electrophoresis are employed to detected the expression of kallikrein 7(KLK7)in human normal brain tissues, gliocytoma(WHOâ… -â…¡grade)tissues and spongioblastoma(WHOâ…¢-â…£grade). And the expression of klk7 is detected immunohistochemically in the three brain tissues at the same time. analysis and comparison the relationships of the expression and clinical pathological characteristics of kallikrein 7 in glioma.ResultsThe positive expression rate of KLK7 in normal brain tissues was mild.The positive expression rate of KLK7 in spongioblastoma(WHOâ…¢-â…£grade) tissues was 93.75%(30/32), which was higher than that in gliocytoma( WHOâ… -â…¡grade ) tissues 25.00%(10/40)(P<0.01). And the positive expression rate of KLK7 in spongioblastoma(WHOâ…¢-â…£grade)with normal brain tissues was 15.00% (3/20) which was higher(P<0.01),But the positive expression rate of KLK7 in gliocytoma(WHOâ… -â…¡grade)tissues and normal brain tissues are not to contrast(P>0.05). And the expression of klk7 is detected immunohistochemically in the three brain tissues at the same time to indications. And the expression of KLK7 was detected in spongioblastoma(WHOâ…¢-â…£grade) tissues, higher than gliocytoma(WHOâ… -â…¡grade)tissues and normal brain tissues (P<0.01). But there were no difference in gliocytoma(WHOâ… -â…¡grade)tissues and normal brain tissuesConclusionThe expression rate of KLK7 in normal brain tissues was mild. The expression of KLK7 in gliocytoma(WHOâ… -â…¡grade)tissues was too mild, but in the in(WHOâ…¢-â…£grade) tissues was higher.So KLK7 is maybe a new spongioblastoma markers that can predict the prognosis of the patients. And at the same time KLK7 maybe a novel biological marker for diagnosing and monitoring the spongioblastoma in clinic,which will have prognostic value in spongioblastoma.
