| Objective:To observe the clinical effect of "HuoXueXiaoying" to nodular goiter (Abbreviation:NG) on prescription,and to evaluate the clinical value. Then, to give evidences of the better treatment on NG. To explore the Etiology Pathogenesis of NG,and to study the mechanism action in "HuoXueXiaoying" prescription treatment on NG preliminary.Methods:Used randomized single-blind antithesis, dividing 105 NG patients who measure up the standard into 3 groups:chinese medicine group(n=35,to be treated with " HuoXueXiaoying"prescription),western medicine group (n=35, to be treated with euthyrox tablets),conbinding group (n= 35,to be treated with "HuoXueXiaoying" prescription and small amounts of euthyrox tablets).3 months for a course of treatment. Then to Observe and analyze comparatively the related indicators (including related symptoms and signs,the side and the maximum diameter of thyroid nodule etc.)before and after treatment,to compare and analyze.Results:When the one courses of the treatment finished,the available statistics in these 3 groups was:chinese medicine group 31 cases, western medicine group 30 case, conbinding group 30 cases.(1)The total effect of three groups were compared:chinese medicine group:The total effective rate was 74.2% for a course of treatment;western medicine group:The total effective rate was 33.3% for a course of treatment; conbinding group:The total effective rate was 76.7% for a course of treatment;To score the total effect of three group with Chinese medicine standard:For a course of treatment the total effective rate:chinese medicine group was 77.4%; western medicine was 30.0%; conbinding group was 70.0%;Three groups compared at different times were different significantly (P<0.05). There were no significant differences between chinese medicine and conbinding group,but these two groups always showed higher efficiency than western medicine group.(2)After treatment,thyroid volumes and weights in chinese medicine and conbinding groups were lower than before(P <0.05), and in western medicine group, thyroid volumes and weights were lower than before(P<0.05),while the nodule maximum diameters was not lower than before. Between three groups,Thyriod volumes and weights were not significantly different when they were compared (P>0.05). And nodules's reduced levels of maximum diameter of chinese medicine group and conbinding group were more than the western medicine group (P<0.05). There were no significant differences between chinese medicine group and conbinding group (P>0.05).(3) The relationship of nodule side and healing efficacy:these 3 groups show that there are more effective in maximum diameter below 2 centimeter and lower effective in maximum diameter above 4 centimeter.(4) Changes in thyroid function before and after treatment of the three groups:FT3,FT4 of three groups had no significant difference (P>0.05); sTSH in chinese medicine and conbinding group before and after one courses of treatment had no significant difference (P>0.05). After treatment the sTSH of the western medicine groups were significantly decreased (P<0.01).(5)The blood supply of thyroid nodules:Whether the signal of blood in arteries were rich,there were no significant differences among 3 groups (P>0.05). When the signal from blood of arteries were plentiful, test arteries spectrum(Vmax,Vmin,RI): western medicine group has no significant differences before and after(P>0.05), chinese medicine and conbinding group were significantly decreased after treatment(P<0.05). With three groups compared, RI of chinese medicine and conbinding group were significantly decreased (P<0.05).(6)Side effects:There was no significantly adverse reaction in the chinese medicine and conbinding group. In the western medicine group,8 patients had thirsty, irritability, insomnia and other symptoms in various degrees;The rate of its adverse reaction was 26.7%.Conclusion:"HuoXueXiaoying" prescription can eliminate the size of nodules,and have no significant effect on the thyroid function,little toxic side effect. It has the secured clinic effect on NG. "HuoXueXiaoying" prescription and small amounts of euthyrox tablets group has no significant difference with the "HuoXueXiaoying" prescription group. |
