ObjectivesKnee Osteoarthritis is a common chronic osteoarthritis diseases characterized by articular cartilage degeneration, destruction and hyperosteogeny in the clinical. With the level of the whole society's increasing aging population, KOA's number of patients increased significantly, seriously endangering the health of the elderly. Complexity of the disease condition, longer course, more difficult to treat, not only brought immense suffering to the patient, but also to society and the family brought a heavy burden. Although the current variety of Chinese and Western treatment methods, but the effects are difficult to determine, and there is a high recurrence rate of regret. In order to approach the mechanism of knee osteoarthritis treated by acupotome lysis with fingers positioning method, prior treatment and after treatment, we has a clinical observation and detection of serum superoxide dismutase (SOD), nitric oxide (NO) and tumor necrosis factor-a (TNF-a) content of the changes, and try to build a scientific experiment foundation to support the treatment.Methods80 patients come from Danjiangkou hospital of traditional Chinese medicine of Hubei province, they are consistent with the Chinese Medical diagnosis and treatment of osteoarthritis of Orthopaedic Surgery Branch Guide (2007 edition) diagnostic criteria established by KOA. According to the order in which paitients admitted to hospital, and check a random number table, all the cases are randomly divided into two groups, each group 30 cases. The observation group adopts acupotome lysis with fingers positioning method for three times, once five days. The control group adopts Intra-articular injection of sodium hyaluronate 20mg/2ml every week. All patients was evaluated after five weeks. After the treatments of five weeks we will observe general effects, the main symptoms and signs of improvement and serum SOD, NO and TNF-a levels in the changes before and after treatment.Results1. Observation group:healing rate is 82.5%, excellence rate is 12.5%, utility rate is 2.5%, inefficacy rate is 2.5%, the total effective rate was 97.5%. Control group:healing rate is 62.5%, excellence rate is 12.5%, utility rate is 10.0%, inefficacy rate is 15.0%, the total effective rate was 85.0%. Under statistical treatment, there is a significant difference (P< 0.05). HSS scores in both groups before and after treatment comparison group, the statistical treatment, were highly significant differences (P<0.01). Observation group and control group between the two groups, in the "Pain", "Functional"project, the statistical treatment, highly significant difference (P<0.01); in other evaluation projects and "Total"project, a significant Differences (P<0.05). efficacy of the observation group is superior to the control group.2. Serum SOD, NO and TNF-αcontent changes:After treatment, the plasma SOD content showed a rising trend, but significantly increased in the observation group, TNF-αand NO levels were decreased in the observation group was significantly lower, and close to the normal level, compared with before treatment, there was significant Differences (P<0.01). Compared with the control group, there was significant difference (P<0.05). Show that the balance between the treatment group serum SOD, NO and TNF-αlevels are significantly better than the control group.Conclusions1. Knee osteoarthritis treated by acupotome lysis with fingers positioning method, can significantly improve knee osteoarthritis in patients with clinical symptoms and signs, significantly better than the control group.2. Acupotome lysis with fingers positioning method can restore patients with osteoarthritis of the knee in serum SOD, NO and TNF-αin balance, thus helping protect the cartilage and the matrix from the secondary effects of sexual abuse, and thus delay the articular cartilage Degeneration of articular cartilage to improve the nutrition and metabolism, promote cartilage repair, and thus prevention and treatment of knee osteoarthritis.3. Clinical practice that has good efficacy, relapse rate, the advantages of low cost of treatment to reduce the financial burden of patients for the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee provides a new way of thinking and methods to improve the patient's survival and life Quality.
