The integration of digital technology and implantation, which has been demonstrated a broad development prospects in the field of implant treatment, plays a critical role for sustaining life and health of patients. It provides effective ways and means in improving the cure rate of the disease while improving the quality of life of patients. For fecal incontinence caused by a variety of reasons, especially for the sequel bought by abdominal perineal resection in rectal surgery, it has been a hot spot in the field of digital medical that to research for digital planted artificial anal sphincter system which matches with the body's physiological requirements to cure the disease and help patient to back to the society.Under supported by National Natural Science Fund of China (NO.30800235), on the basis of several-year experiences and results on research for this project, modular feature upgrades and implantable system integration and packaging had been taken to match with the implanted design plan in this article. Finally, the function of the system had been proved by two animal experiments which directs the further way of improvements.The research work is mainly reflected in the following areas:First of all, the features of three module have been improved and upgraded.â‘ Wireless-communication controlling module: achieving the adaptive control algorithm with the threshold update, improve the efficiency of wireless communication by introduction of response mechanisms and communication protocols defined;â‘¡Transcutaneous Energy Transmission module: first adopting the flat coils and focusing on transmission factors, constraints and the law affecting the efficiency, the article proposed optimization of transmission efficient, so that the max efficient will be as high as 73% when the distance between two coils is 18mm, and it also reach 65.5% when the received power is 500mW.â‘¢Executive mechanism:mainly improving the structure of micro peristaltic pump, opening rotational degrees of freedom of cylindrical roller, reducing the requirements of the motor output power, the average drive power of micro-pump reaches 300mW.Secondly, system implantable integration and packaging had firstly been implemented in this article. Control circuit, micro-sensor module and second coil with receiver conditioning circuit has been integrated on internal executive mechanism. External wireless-communication controller was designed for interaction, and portable wireless energy transmitter was realized. The whole body internal system was sealed in mold made of silicone, and wires were wrapped with silicone tubes.Finally, animal experiments had been completed. With the help of Xinhua Hospital, the system was implanted into Beagle dogs. The first one lives for two days and the second one for a week. As Beagle dogs in the state of general anesthesia, we verified the system functionality and can be implanted. Experiments failed to achieve a long-turn observation, repeatability and reliability of the system haven't been further verified, but it will offer instructive reference value for the follow-up study. |
