Fecal incontinence is a common disease in intestines and anus surgery, featured by defecation disability and caused by pathological changes. Fecal incontinence does not only bring both body and mental sufferings to patients, but also causes a lot of social burden. There are still no efficient treatment methods for the patients with fecal incontinence, and it is also a difficult problem for doctors and researchers of anus surgery.In order to help those patients with defection control problem thoroughly, this thesis studies on the reconstruction of artificial anal sphincter system and its transcutaneous energy transmission. It is funded by National Natural Science Foundation Project"Implantable in-situ Artificial Anal Sphincter's Reconstruction Theory and its Critical Technology"(Granted Number: 30800235), Ministry of Education's PhD Base Foundation project"Research on Artificial Anal Sphincter with Sensor Feedback Powered by Transcutaneous Energy Transmission"(Granted Number: 20070248094) and Shanghai Jiaotong University Young Teacher Foundation"Pre- study of Artificial Anal Sphincter with Sensor Feedback".This thesis introduces the design of the anal sphincter system, including the whole structure, modules design and system realization. The system integrates the following modules: information sensor module, wireless communication module, notice module, control module, execution unit and transcutaneous energy transmission module.This thesis also focuses on research of transcutaneous energy transmission. It establishes the efficiency model of serial resonant circuit and parallel resonant circuit and analyzes the factors influencing the power transmission efficiency. Then the transmitter and receiver circuits are proposed, and the results are compared.This thesis also gives out prototype system and in-vitro experiment results. During in-vitro experiments, the whole system could realize the function of human anal sphincter. We believe that the new anal sphincter is a brand-new way to treat fecal incontinence, and it is especially an evangel for patients suffered from fecal incontinence of neuromuscular origin. |
