OBJECTIVE To investigate the emotional and behavioral feature of 3-9month age preterm infant by coding the emotion and behavior and evaluating the development. And to provide preliminary clinical evidences for the integrated development of premature infants.SUBJECTS AND METHODS1. SubjectsTo be born from 2010-1-1 to 2010-12-31,in Guangdong women and children's hospital and health institute, the preterm infants of 32 weeks≤conceptus age<37 weeks and 1500g≤birth-weight<2500g is experiment group, and the term infants of 37 weeks≤conceptus age<42 weeks and 2500g≤birth-weight<4000g is control group. We selected 30 cases respectively for the two groups, and each group excepts deformity, genetic metabolism diseases,bilirubin-encephalopathy,hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, intracranial hemorrhage and so on.There were 57 cases in total at last because of 1 term infant and 2 preterm infants withdrawed. Then the social-emotion,behavior and psychomotor development of preterm infants were evaluated.2. MethodsThere were mom-infant's spatial relations, infant's actions, mother's actions, mom and infant playing together, the emotional status and vocalization in the emotional and behavioral coding in playing system.Take3,6,9 month age as the time point for term infants, for preterm infants, take their correction gestational age 3,6,9 month age as the time point respectively. In this part, the total number of follow-up infants is 57,preterm group have 28 infants and term group have 29 infants.Adopting Bayley Scales of Infant Development(BSID) (2 to 30month)to evaluate preterm infant cognitive and motor development , take3,6,9 month age as the time point, for preterm infants, take their correction gestational age3,6,9 month age as the time point respectively(synchronized to the emotional and behavioral coding). In this part, the total number of follow-up infants is 57,preterm group have 28 infants and term group have 29 infants.3. Statistical methodsThe statistical analysis was performed with SPSS13.0 software package and the measurement data were presented with mean±standard deviation, t test to make comparison. For which don't conform to normal distribution using P50(P25,P75)to present, rank sum test to make comparison. Separation variable using the four-layer table chi-square.Inspection standardsα= 0.05(bilateral),considering p≤0.05 as statistical significance.RESAULTS1. There was no significant difference in away-from-mom and contact-mom behavior between the two groups(p>0.05),and there was no difference in the duration of video, emotional status and vocalization between the two groups during at three time points(p>0.05).2. There was significant differences in MDI and PDI(p<0.05) between the two groups .3. There was significant differences in physical growth(p<0.05) between the two groups at 3 month age.CONCLUSIONS1. There were no significant difference between preterm and term infants on emotion.2. Preterm infants'intellectual and psychomotor development is lower than term infants'.3. Preterm infant's physical growth is lower than the term infant's,but it can gradually catch up with children of the same age.
