Objective:To detect the expression of FOXP3 in lesions of pityriasis rosea,lichen planus, large-plaque parapsoriasis,mycosis fungoides,as well as in normal skin controls; And to explore the significance of FOXP3 in normal controls, inflammatory skin diseases, the development tendency of the tumor, malignant tumors lesions of skin.Methods:1. All specimens were taken from 2006 to 2010 Qilu Hospital of Shandong University dermatology, which were diagnosed by clinic and pathology. Including 21 cases of pityriasis rosea,19 lichen planus,17 large-plaque parapsoriasis,22 mycosis fungoides.As normal control,10 normal skin specimens obtained from clinic operating room and plastic surgery, were fixed by formaldehyde and embedded by paraffin. As positive control, tonsil were getted from pathology room.2. The expression of Foxp3 in lesions of different groups was detected by immunohistochemistry technique.3. By using SPSS 13.0 statistical analysis software, the expression of Foxp3 in normal skins, pityriasis rosea, lichen planus, large plaque-type psoriasis and mycosis fungoides was tested by One-way ANOVA; Least-significant difference was applied to pairwise comparison. The difference had statistical significance is P<0.05.Result:1. The expression of FOXP3 in pityriasis rosea, lichen planus, large-plaque parapsoriasis and mycosis fungoides.In normal control group, only individual specimen express a little FOXP3+ lymphocytes. Some specimens of pityriasis rosea and lichen planus groups can be observed FOXP3+ lymphocytes; Most of the specimens of large-plaque parapsoriasis and mycosis fungoides groups can be found more FOXP3+ lymphocytes. It mainly expresses in dermal lymphocytes. Buffy or darkbrown were observed which located in both nuclear and kytoplasm. Keratinocytes and fibroblasts did not express.2. Comparison of FOXP3 positive label index.Compared with the control group, the positive rate of FOXP3 had no significant difference (P>0.05) in Pityriasis rosea and lichen planus groups.There also no significant difference between each other(P>0.05).The positive rate of FOXP3 positive lymphocytes in lesions of large-plaque parapsoriasis and mycosis fungoides was higher than in normal skin tissue and inflammatory skin diseases (P<0.05). But there was no significant difference between the each two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion:1. FOXP3+ Treg in pityriasis rosea and lichen planus was increased compared with normal skin, but have not yet reached a significant difference. Maybe FOXP3+ CD4+CD25+ Treg Play a protective effect on the body to prevent the body occur strong inflammatory response.2. Compared with normal skin and inflammatory skin diseases, FOXP3 positive lymphocytes gradually increase in large-plaque parapsoriasis and mycosis fungoides. It may play an important role in immune escape of epidermal tumors and promotes their occurrence and development.
