With the aging process of people, the incidence of cardiovascular disease continues to increase, hemiplegic patients become more and more. The recovery of upper limb movement in patients have great impact on activities of daily living, and the rehabilitation of the problems is difficult to solve. The paper studies the upper extremity rehabilitation robot with virtual environment system, include the technical requirements, the main function and realization, As China's special conditions, based on virtual reality technology in rehabilitation robotics research is still in its infancy, therefore, the subject has important application value.Virtual reality technology is a combination of computer graphics, multimedia, artificial intelligence, sensor technology, human-machine interface technology, and computer simulation technology. It is used by many experts and scholars to explore the medical field, and in the rehabilitation of health care, its interactive, immersive, the concept of the characteristics have great potential.Based on the study of virtual reality and stroke rehabilitation, the paper does depth analysis of the current situation of virtual reality technology and rehabilitation of stroke, points out the robot and virtual reality technology may be used in the rehabilitation of hemiplegia, combined with motor dysfunction after stroke rehabilitation theory, put forward a means of rehabilitation of several existing and virtual reality technology to combine and analyze the specific system solutions and system technology route.On the premise research of desktop virtual reality platform, the paper discusses the system using the main technology platform, and selects the target platform with several important technical problems analyzed, including visual display issue based on OpenSceneGraph Application and geometric modeling and motion control for the realization of the virtual human upper limb, and then uses OpenSceneGraph completing a virtual human upper limb motion control development.And then, the paper analyzes the software development and key module design of upper limb based on virtual reality rehabilitation system. Patient information management module of the main functions were analyzed, using of database development technology to design and evaluation the rehabilitation treatment in patients, completing Access database, and finishes the development of the modules in the Microsoft Foundation Class (MFC) application under the OpenSceneGraph Program development.
