Clinical Study Of Jian Pi Hua Shi Jie Du Decoction Combined With Chemotherapy In The Treatment Of Spleen Damp-Type Colorectal Cancer Patients After A Radical Operation

Objective:Directed by TCM theory, to observe the tumor size, symptoms TCM improvement. quality of life, physical condition, weight, cancer symbol and side-effect between the treatment group and control group, preliminary evaluate the side-effect and role that Jian Pi Hua Shi Jie Du Decoction play in the treatment of Spleen Damp-type colorectal cancer patients after chemotherapy. Then discuss on the relevance of TCM symptom evaluation with quality of life and the preliminary study.Methods:40 patients met the inclusion criteria of the Spleen Damp-type colorectal cancer,are randomly divided into two groups:the treatment group(Jian Pi Hua Shi Jie Du Decoction combined with chemotherapy FOLFOX-4) with 20 cases,the control group (chemotherapy alone FOLFOX-4) with 20 cases. Every three weeks for a cycle, after two cycles, compare the tumor size, symptoms TCM improvement, quality of life, physical condition, weight, cancer symbol and side-effect between both groups. As the effect of evaluation score to quantify, then analyze the difference between both groups according to these indicators.Results:(1)Comparison in tumor size:there is no improvement between the two groups;there is no significant difference between both groups. (2) Comparison in cancer symbol:there is no significant difference in CEA and CA199. (3) Comparison in symptoms TCM improvement:TCM symptoms score decreased after treatment.In the treatment group,6 cases were marked effect,13 cases were effect,1 case was no effect, which indicated the total effective rate reached 95%.In the control group,2 cases were marked effect,12 cases were effect,6 cases were no effect, which indicated the total effective rate reached 70%.There is significant difference between both groups.(4) Comparison in quality of life:there is significant improvement of quality of life between two groups, which indicates the Jian Pi Hua Shi Jie Du Decoction combined with chemotherapy FOLFOX-4 can improve the quality of life of colorectal cancer patients. (5) Comparison in physical condition:There is significant difference between both groups.By comparing the group before and after treatment, there is significant difference in the treatment group and there is no significant difference in the control group, which shows that there is a significant improvement between the Jian Pi Hua Shi Jie Du Decoction combined with chemotherapy FOLFOX-4 and chemotherapy alone in KPS. (6) Comparison in weight:After treatment. in the treatment group.13 cases were weight gain,6 cases were weight stable,1 case was weight loss. In the control group,5 cases were weight gain,9 cases were weight stable,6 cases were weight loss.There is significant difference between both groups. (7) Comparison in side-effect:There is significant difference between both groups in nausea, sickness and diarrhea.Conclusion:There is a significant improvement between the Jian Pi Hua Shi Jie Du Decoction combined with chemotherapy FOLFOX-4 and chemotherapy alone in symptoms Chinese situation, quality of life, KPS and side-effect. The function of reducing toxicity and increasing effect on chemotherapy should be accepted.
