| ObjectiveThe Iodine deficiency disorders (IDD), which threaten to human in the world, is one of the most widespread and the most popular diseases, it causes by the lack of Iodine in external environment. To conduct Iodine nutrition condition research for definiting the concentration of iodate in inodized salt of Anyang, include the Iodine nutrition status of key population, and to explore the influential factors of the Iodine to absorb for human, it provides scientific basis for the right concentration of iodate for different people and different areas. In this study, I analyze the Iodine nutrition condition of children from 8 years old to 10 years old in 5 counties and 4 districts governed by Anyang, and the level of urine Iodine in key population, in order to comprehensively grasp the Iodine nutrition condition in Anyang and the synthetical Iodine nutrition conditions in each county or city and provide scientific basis for complementing Iodine. To conduct the concentration of Iodine for drinking water research in external environment, analyze the contents of nitrate nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen in drinking water and the influence for Iodine nutrition condition of human, in order to adopt homologous policy and provide science basis for iodine addition.MethodsSurvey on the Iodine dietary in 5 counties and 4 districts in Anyang to examine the thyroid gland by touching and collecting the urine sample of everybody and the salt sample in every family, Sampling from 5 townships in the five positions, to pull out a village elementary school in each township, and 50 8-year-old to 10-year-old children in each elementary school. To investigate 30 children in Grade 5 and 10 housewives in the same village and to collect 5 samples of drinking water in the 5 different positions in the same village in the elementary school. The urine Iodine investigation of the key population:pregnant women and breast-feeding women were investigated who come from the east, south, west and north in Neihuang.Contents of nitrite and nitrate in drinking water were measured in Beiguan District, Wenfeng District and Yindu District in the same time.Results1 Survey on Iodine dietary of AnyangThe result of the water Iodine concentration in external environment: except Neihuang county and Huaxian county, other districts of Anyang are situated at the Iodine deficiency areas. The low-to-high Iodine concentration is Linzhou, Yindu, Longan, Beiguan, Anyang county, Tangyin county, Wenfeng, Neihuang county and Huaxian county. The highest peak concentration of water Iodine in external environment is Neihuang county and Huaxian county, the lowest concentration is Linzhou.The result of urine Iodine concentration of children:Anyang's urine iodine level meets the Standards of Iodine deficiency checking and Assessing. The low-to-high of urine Iodine concentration order is Longan, Tangyin country, Huaxian country, Beiguan, Linzhou, Anyang county, Yindu, Wenfeng and Neihuang county. The highest concentration of urine Iodine is Neihuang county, the lowest is Longan. The status of children's urine Iodine:The highest frequency of urine Iodine concentration regions is Huaxian county and Longan district. The low-to-high urine Iodine concentration order is Beiguan, Linzhou, Anyang county, Yindu, Wenfeng and Neihuang county, these urine Iodine concentrations are all higher than 300μg/L. The median of urine Iodine concentration of Longan and Tangyin country are 138.0μg/L and 171.0μg/L, the concentration is in suitable range. The children's urine Iodine condition of different areas:The urine Iodine concentration of Linzhou is less than Neihuang(u=5.9505, P=0.0000<0.05).The result of the Iodine salt investigation:Every physics index of nutritional status in Anyang meets the request for the Standards checking and Assessing of Iodine deficiency quality level. The highest rate of non-Iodine salt is Huaxian county and Anyang county, The lowest rate of qualified Iodine salt is Huaxian county.The result of thyroid gland by touching investigation:The incidence of the thyroid gland in Anyang meets the request for the Standards checking and Assessing of Iodine deficiency quality level.The result of questionnaire survey on children in Grade 5 and housewives:The order of low-to-high scores is Anyang county, Longan, Huaxian county, Tangyin county, Beiguan, Yindu, Neihuang county, Wenfeng and Linzhou.2 The result of the urine Iodine in key populationThe urine Iodine concentration of key population in Neihuang county is higher, especially the urine Iodine concentration of pregnant women. Urine Iodine concentration in 10.29% of key population is lower than 100μg/L.3 The result of survey on influencing factors of the Iodine to absorb for humanThe difference of urine Iodine in Beiguan, Yindu and Wenfeng is statistical significance made by rank sum test(χ2= 28.6843, P= 0.000<0.05). Urinary iodine concentration from low to high in order of priority is Beiguan, Yindu, Wenfeng. The contents of nitrate in drinking water is significant difference in three areas(χ2 =11.1236, P= 0.038<0.05). Concentration of nitrate from low to high in order of priority is Yindu, Wen feng, and Beiguan. The contents of nitrite in drinking water is no significant difference in three areas(χ2=0.6277, P=0.7306>0.05). A negative correlation is found between the concentration of urine Iodine and nitrate (r=-0.704, P=0.0001<0.05).ConclusionsMost districts in Anyang are Iodine deficiency areas, except Neihuang County and Huaxian County. Every quantitative index of iodine nutritional in Anyang meet the checking criterion of Iodine deficiency disorders completely. The nutritional status of children from 8 years old to 10 years old is good at present. The Iodine concentration in children's urine Iodine are less than 50μg/L, except Wenfeng. Iodine deficiency may occur in these areas, so there will be a long way to supplement iodine. Because the Iodine concentration of the urine Iodine density of the low Iodine area and the non-low Iodine area are high, iodine excess is also a mistake. |
