Hospitalized For Type 2 Diabetes Patients With Disease The The Concurrent Depression Clinical Investigation And Treatment Of Professor Gao Tianshu Diabetes And Depressive Experience

Objective:Type 2 diabetes merge depression rates high. At present it is lack of clinical investigation on the probability of type 2 diabetes patients who got depression meanwhile. This research is a sample survey on the prevalence rate of depression among type 2 diabetes patients hospitalized.It probe into the relationship between type 2 diabetes and depression, show the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine treatment and the differences compared with west medicine, together with an experience of the traditional Chinese medicine treatment on type 2 diabetes patients who got depression meanwhile. Professor Gao Tianshu proposed merger for the treatment of diabetes patients experience depression.Methods:In this study, patients with hospital-based case-control study. The subjects of Liaoning University Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Endocrinology, December 2009-2010 hospitalized in September with type 2 diabetes patients aged 65 years of age. Used self-rating depression scale applications (Self-rating Depression Scale, SDS) to evaluate the application of quality of life assessment of diabetic patients with diabetes-specific quality of life scale (DSQL) for the treatment group to evaluate the quality of life.Results:512 patients with type 2 diabetes in 147 patients suffering from depression, the prevalence was 28.7%. Average score of 46.87±7.36. Mild to mild depression which 86 cases, accounting for 16.80%; moderate depression in 39 cases, accounting for 7.61%; severe depression in 22 cases, accounting for 4.30%. Compared two groups of patients, patients with depression in the number of female patients, BMI index, the number of complications, FPG,2hPG, HbAlc are higher than non-depressed patients (P<0.05), while no significant difference in age compared (P>0.05). Depression in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with type 2 diabetes compared with patients without combined prevalence of depression was significantly higher (P> 0.05). Western Herbal Treatment control blood sugar treatment group than simply using Western control of blood glucose in patients treated DSQL total score, physical latitude, psychological latitude, latitude, social relations, therapeutic latitude score was significantly decreased, the differences were statistically significant.Conclusion:BMI, blood glucose, hemoglobin of type 2 diabetic patients with high prevalence of depression, women with type 2 diabetes and patients with longer duration of diabetes, high prevalence of depression.
