ObjectionTo investigate the differences between papillary thyroid cancer with Hashimoto's thyroiditis,and papillary thyroid cancer.Material and methods1. General condition of the patients:Clinical data:From January 1 st,2008 to January 1st 2011,912 cases of thyroid cancer, treated on the thyroid breast surgery in Shandong Provincial Hospital, confirmed by pathology, of which 30 cases were papillary thyroid cancer(PTC) with Hashimoto's thyroiditis(HT), and aged from 22 to 61 years old; the other 30 cases were PTC,and aged from 23 to 74 years old.2. Study methods:Retrospective analysis between papillary thyroid cancer with Hashimoto's thyroiditis and papillary thyroid cancer in the age, sex, tumor size, clinical stage and prognosis.3. Statistical method:Count data usingχ2 test, P<0.05 considered as statistically significant difference. The entire set of data was processsed by SPSS 16.0 (for windows) statistical software.Result The age, gender, clinical stage and lymph node metastasis of 2 grupes have significant difference(P<0.05); tumor size and prognosiswas has no significant difference between the two groups (P> 0.05).Conclusioncompared with papillary thyroid cancer, HT combined papillary thyroid cancer are more likely to happen in women and young patients, and more likely to have lymph node metastasis and earler clinical stage.
