Backgroud and ObjectiveThymic lesion is anterior mediastinum common tumor, originated in thymic epithelial. Thymic lesion forms diversification and clinical expression is not identical. Thymic lesion is generally benign tumors, growing slowly, but there are obvious malignant degeneration tendency. The diacrisis of benign thymic lesion and malignant thymic lesion play a decisive role on making treatment plan and decide to patient's prognosis and survival. Clinical is badly in need of examination to early discover benign thymic lesion and malignant thymic lesion.Researching the CT perfusion features between benign thymus lesion and malignant thymus lesion, compare the difference of CT perfusion imaging to benign thymus lesion and malignant thymus lesion. Assess the value of CT perfusion imaging in diagnosis of benign thymus lesion and malignant thymus lesion.Methods45 cases of the thymus were examined by multi-layer spiral CT perfusion, malignant thymus lesion 12 cases, benign thymus lesion 29 cases, residual thymus2 cases and Perfusion failure 2 cases. Consistent with surgery pathology were 39 cases and conservative treatment were 2 cases. Using the GE lightspeed plus 4-slice spiral CT scan. First, did chest ordinary scanning and thick layer, layer interval were 10mm.Choosed the biggest mass layer for perfusion. Using cine pattern, AW4.2 workstation and software of perfusion3 analysed perfusion imaging. Getted benign thymus lesion and malignant thymus lesion perfusion parameters, blood flow, blood volume, mean transit time and permeability surface. Analysed the difference among perfusion parameters by SPSS 17.0 software test sample rank and independence. Explored the difference between benign thymus lesion and malignant thymus lesion.Resultsperfusion parameters of 29 cases benign thymus lesion were:BF(48.26±56.35),MTT (15.53±11.65),PS (9.81±5.65),BV (2.95±2.14), perfusion parameters of 12 cases malignant thymus lesion were:BF(157.29±145.06),MTT (26.33±12.87),PS (52.01±28.60),BV(12.72±8.47), Perfusion parameters were statistically significant differences between benign thymus lesion and malignant thymus lesion(p<0.05).ConclusionMulti-layer CT perfusion imaging can accurate reflection the strengthening characteristics of each time thymus tumor lesions. According to the changing of lesions blood flow.It can accurate identification benign thymus lesion and malignant thymus lesion.
