Background:Tinnitus is sudden deafness (hereinafter referred to as sudden deafness) of the most common symptoms, many patients with after hearing restored or improved, but tinnitus existence, let patients very be troubled. Sudden deafness with tinnitus still belong to tinnitus treatment category. Although at present many aspects of tinnitus, inadequate understanding, no blockbuster drugs and the special effects clinical therapy, but have been recognized in international is the psychological acoustic index to describe some of the features, such as tinnitus loudness, tone of: tinnitus, lowest masking grade, masking curve and suppression, such after may be helpful for understanding and relevant tinnitus to evaluate the clinical research. Objective:To analyze the tinnitus psychoacoustic characteristics in patients with sudden deafness and the relevant factors to tinnitus patients with sudden deafness tinnitus subjective classificationMethods:All 42 cases of sudden deafness accompanying tinnitus from The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University. They were tested by tinnitus psychoacoustic tests, including tinnitus frequency, tinnitus loudness, minimum masking level (MMI) and residual inhibition (RI), then, asked to fill in tinnitus handicap inventory(THI) table.Results:1,Pure according to total test results group:rising hearing curve type group 10 cases; Descent type group 8 cases; Flat type group 24 cases. According to hearing loss degree grouping:mild deafness in 7 cases, moderate deaf in 15 cases, severely deaf 18 deaf, very severely deaf in 2 cases. Mild deafness in 7 cases all ascension type group.2,Tinnitus frequency matching:The case number in 125 Hz,250 Hz,500 Hz, 1,500 Hz,3000 Hz,4000Hz,6,000 Hz and 8,000 Hz were 6,7,8,1,1,6,3,10 respectively. The tinnitus frequency of 9 cases in rising type group located in 125Hz to 500Hz, whereas, the tinnitus frequency of 5 cases in descent type group located in 3,000 to 8,000Hz.. Tinnitus frequency and hearing loss type, correlation coefficient correlation, P=3.161 r=0.016< 0.05.3,Tinnitus loudness number 0-5 dB SL19 (45.2%) patients,6-10 dB SL11 (26.2%) cases,11-15 dB SL6 (14.20%) cases, more than 15 dB SL3 (7.1%) cases, did not match 3 cases. Tinnitus loudness and there is a correlation degree of hearing loss, correlation coefficient r=1.161, P=0.023<0.05.4,Masking curves types:overlapping type 25 cases, gathering type 7 cases.,both 69.1% total aggregate in 29 cases. Residual inhibition:positive in 2 cases (4.8%), and partial positive 27 cases (64.3%), negative 13 cases (30.9%).5,Tinnitus subjective classification of grade 1 tinnitus 8 cases, level 2 tinnitus 15 cases, grade 3 tinnitus in 16 cases (3 cases of grade 4 tinnitus. Tinnitus subjective grading and there is a correlation degree of hearing loss, correlation coefficient r= 243.2, P=0.013< 0.05. Tinnitus subjective classification have no correlation with tinnitus frequency, correlation coefficient r=0.136, P=0.735> 0.05. Tinnitus subjective grading and tinnitus loudness unrelated, correlation coefficient r=0.176, P =1.736> 0.05.Conclusion: 1,The tinnitus frequency is consistent with the most hearing loss frequency in sudden deafness.2,The majority masking curves are overlapping and gathering types and and the residual inhibition tests are partial positive. It suggests that sound therapy can be helpful to the tinnitus patients with sudden deafness.3,The inconsistence between tinnitus handicap inventory(THI) and tinnitus loudness tested suggests that psychological factors play an important role on subjective feeling of tinnitus and psychological treatment is need..
