| Now the incidence of diabetes is increasing when human labor intensity is significantly lower and dietary habit is changing, in both developed and developing countries. There are 300 million patients with diabetes all the world, and more than 40 million patients in China. The diabetes and its complications have become to be one of the four biggest harmful diseases to human body. Diabetes Control and Complications Trial (DCCT) demonstrated that more frequently monitoring of blood glucose and insulin levels could prevent many of the long term complications of diabetes. But the measuring method nowadays is invasive. People with diabetes typically use a lancing device to obtain a blood sample and a glucose meter to measure the glucose lever in the sample. But its painful and invasive and may add some risk of infection. Non-invasive blood glucose monitoring is the new black in this context. There are lots of non-invasive blood glucose monitoring methods at present, as for the main component of blood glucose is glucose, in this paper we describe a method based on microwave characteristics combined with DSP technology for measuring glucose concentration and design a set of glucose detection system. In this system DSP is controlling the microwave sweep source to generate a microwave sweep signal (frequency range:DC to 3GHz) and make it feed in the microwave cavity firstly. Then the output of cavity is connected to power detector. After detecting, the envelope of resonant characteristic wave of cavity feed back to the DSP to be sampled and analyzed. Finally the glucose concentration information is obtained and displayed on the LCD.In this paper we endeavor to make sure that testing the concentration of glucose solution at 3G spectrum, and a large number of experiments show that when the concentration of glucose solution increases, both the resonant frequency and the amplitude increase. The system currently can detect the lowest concentration glucose solution of 10 mmol/1 interval. The testing is rapid, convenient, and high reliability. This article provides a theoretical basis and a large number of experimental data, it's the basic research as a reference and application for non-invasive blood glucose monitoring with microwave measurement method. |
