PURPOSE To discuss the clinical diagnosis and therapeutic of cervical osteochondroma diagnosis and methods.Methods Using clinical retrospectie analysis of digital subtraction angiography (DSA) method, analyze our hospital and abroad cases were reported total in 71 cases with diagnosis standard osteochondroma disease clinical data analyzed and summed the upper neck section osteochondroma etiology, the clinical symptoms, diagnosis and treatment.Results Currently the pathogenesis of cervical osteochondroma is indeterminate and the diagnosis standard have been unified. The lesion of the cervical can infringe any part of cervical vertebral body and inside or outside the Vertebrae tube. Individual tumor size is large and wide rang of involvement, the operation treatment should according to different part tumor. Most of postoperative patients, the nerve fuction postoperative symptoms disapperad during follow-up got a reply, without recurrent. There was one case appeared severe complication and died of respiratory failure.Conclusion Cervicl osteochondroma increases to a certain degree can oppress trachea, esophagus and spinal cord, so early diagnosis of this disease, therapy by surgery, and the prognosis is good. The heavier spinal cord compression symptoms the worse the prognosis, therefore, curative effect key lies in the disease early diagnosis and early treatment.
