The Study On The Frost Process And Mechanism Of Momordica

OBJECTIVE:Through the study of frost process and the change of pharmacology,toxicology before and after processing,to explore the mechanism of the Momordica manufacturing cream,and establish quality standard of Momordica cream to supply scientific basis for clinical application of Momordica.METHODS:Select the best conditions of Momordica processing by single factor experiments;Observe the effect of anti-inflammatory and analgesic of sample by mouse ear swelling and mouse hot plate method,evaluate the in vitro antibacterial activity of the samples according to the size of inhibition zone; study the acute toxicity by measuring the amount of LD50 or the maximum dose,to explore the principle of processing;establish quality standard of cream through the study of checking index and the related composition to supply scientific basis for clinical application of Momordica.RESULTS:1.The best conditions of Momordica cream-making:pressing temperature is 60℃,pressing time is 20min,medicinal particle size is 10 mesh.2.The activity of Momordica cream was better than raw herbs,anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect of 20% oil-content cream was the most obvious and antibacterial effect of 10% oil-content cream was better.3.The seed coat and oil had no significant toxicity,the toxic components may be saponin-based.4.Momordica cream quality standards:water not more than 8%,total ash not more than 6%,acid insoluble ash not over 0.60%, acid not over 2.0,peroxide value over 1.0,water-soluble extract not less than 10.0% ,alcohol-soluble extract not less than 19.0%, oleanolic acid not less than 0.15 mg·g-1, fatty oil should be 15% to 25%.CONCLUSION:The content of Momordin increased relatively and efficacy was enhanced,but toxic reduced relatively. Overall,the process of cream is a procedure of efficiency-enhancing and toxicity-reducing.
