Objective To know the pathogens distribution of the acute lower respiratory tract infection of the children in Tianjin Children's Hospital, rhinovirus infection, and clinical features of rhinovirus infection, Lowell score, lung function characteristics.Method With etiology detecting to 479 cases of children, including using of fluorescent antibody RS V, ADV, FluA, FluB and parainfluenza virus type 1,2,3, detect Coxsackie virus and Mycoplasma through ELISA, rhinovirus through semi-nested-PCR, and bacteriologicalcultivate in general. Meanwhile doing analyze to the rhinovirus-positive patients and the the clinical and tidal features indicators.Result 149 patients with rhinovirus were detected out in 479 clinical samples, the positive rate was 31.1%. in the detection of pathogens in all, the highestdetection rate is rhinovirus; Culculated by months, maximum was in April and September. Contract with the children who infected respiratory syncytial virus, there were no obvious difference of lowell score, respiratory ratio, peak time and peak volume ratio and the other indicators betwwen two groups, whereas there exists in time. Conclusion This study showed that detection of pathogens in all, the highest detection rate is rhinovirus, there were no obvious difference of lowell score and lung function between two groups, but the time is. There can be seen that the common cause of infants and young children infection is rhinovirus. Clinical symptoms similar to respiratory syncytial virus infection, some patients tend to have recurrent infection, which is an important risk factor for recurrent wheezing, RV infection is the feature which is more important to lead to repeated breathing, contract with respiratory syncytialvirus infection. And this is also the issue that clinicians often ignore. Characteristics of that needed to be draw further attention and study toward.
