The Study Of Flowering Tree And Shrub Resources And Their Characteristics Of Flower Aspect In Changsha

With the rapid social and economic development and people's living standard continuously improved, the quality of life and living environment has been updated and higher requirements. Urban landscaping has been incorporated into national economy and social development plans, the cause of urban landscape had been progressively developed. To build the initiatives with the local characteristics of the city image are explored. Urban greening should be focused on long-term and also the dynamic development. Not simply increase the green coverage, or blindly add the green blocks. But to pursue the higher diversified levels, such as "flowering","coloring","fragranten" and "beautify".The field survey of the various representative of urban green space in Changsha City, to understand the status of flower trees and shrub resources in Changsha City. Combined with the related theory, analysis had been focus on the of the lack seasonal landscape of flowering trees and shrub, and the loss of species diversity. Finally, the landscape application of flowering trees and shrub and the enrichment measures of the garden trees in offseason of Changsha had been applied, in order to improve the level of garden construction in Changsha City, and enrich the urban landscape. The results are as follows:(1) According to the survey, there are thirty three families, seventy genuses, one hundred and nine species of flower trees and shrub. Including forty nine kinds of trees, fifty four kinds of shrubs, and six kinds of vines in Changsha. Flowering trees and shrub in the landscape of Changsha is extremely poor, there are not more than20species of common flowering trees and shrub. Magnolia grandiflora, Lorpetalum chindense var. rubrum, Rhododendron sinisii, Gardenia jasminoides var. radicana and Lagerstroemia indica et al. are used in road greening, but there is little scale cultivation. Most of the landscape plants are evergreen plants, and the species are monotonous and repeated planting. These resulting in the "whole green" feature of landscape in Changsha City. It's difficult to detect changes of seasonal landscape features in the subtropical climate.(2) In the situation of the construction of urban gardens in Changsha are vigorously carried out, flowering and seedling industry had been rapid developed. But there are still many problems, such as low level of industrialization, the market size is small and scattered, the lack of research investments and standardized system, et al. These result in the irrational structure of flowering tree and shrub species, hysteresis of research and development and cultivation of new varieties, and disconnected from the market. These problems eventually led to the flowering tree and shrub can not be widely used in the landscape in Changsha.(3) Changsha with a long and glorious flower culture, the capital city of "Furong Land"-Hunan, and the city flower of Changsha is Rhododendron. In today's urban greening of Changsha, flower culture and did not get the attention and development they deserve. A large number of herbal flowers are configuted to satisfy people's demands of watching flowers, but the attentions to the flowering tree and shrub are not enough, result in the lack of landscape color in Changsha city.(4) According to the study of climatic conditions from Changsha, characteristics of season division had been advanced, as winter and summer are very long, spring and autumn are short. These result in deficiency of ornamental value. One hundred and nine selected flowering trees and shrubs from Changsha had been observed and recorded. Their ornamental features and flower aspect had been analyzed and discussed to reflect the flower aspect specifically. Monthly classify the relative species abundance of flowering tree and shrub, and evaluate the statistics of each month. Proposition had been brought up to solve the deficiency of species in four seasons, which are divided by temperature observation in Changsha. This study can be a reference for diverse configuration and rational utilization of flowering tree and shrub.
