Study On Landscape Application Of Ground Cover Plants In Sanmenxia

As one of the important components of garden landscape plant, Ground cover plants not only have the characteristics of low-growing, variety, rich colors, rapid growth, strong coverage, but also can beautify the environment, increase air humidity, purify the air, soil and water conservation functions. The studies of ground cover plants in landscape application are important significant on the promote construction of Ecological Gardens City.After the field survey of 43 green garden of Sanmenxia, We analyzed, and summarized the samples of ground cover plants, the frequency, ornamental characteristics, application ways, organs and so on,which are based on the green space classification of the park,the units, the living area and the traffic space. The results show:(1)The ground cover plants species which were applied in the garden of Sanmenxia included 126 species, which lianoid ground cover plants were 14 species, woody ground cover plants were 62 species, herbaceous ground cover plants were 48 species, dwarf bamboo ground cover plants were 2 species.(2)The most of the ground cover plants in the gardens of Sanmenxia greenbelt application were Buxus megistophy,Rosa chinensis,Photinia serrulata,Ligustrum vicaryi,Amygdalus triloba,Berberis thunbergii var. atropurpurea,Jasminum nudiflorum,Forsythia suspensa,In conclusion,the plants in the garden of Sanmenxia were woody ground cover plants.(3)The use of ground cover plants in rural land have the local characteristics,such as,Rosa chinensis,Pyracantha fortuneana,Paeonia suffruticosa,Juniperus formosana,which has strong adoptability.some young trees green application of ground cover plants were Trachycarpus fortunei,Picea asperata,Sabina chinensis var. chinensis cv. Kaizuca,Juniperus formosana,etal.(4)The application of ground cover plants in Sanmenxia had various forms. The key rule was regular color plantation, and the supplement natural planting.By doing the investigation and analysis of the present application of ground cover plants in Sanmenxia, the garden ground cover plants application problems were shown. We seeked the application of ground cover plants in the optimization and optimization methods. The survey has applied the suggestions for the development of ground cover plants and the recommendation for plant list in Sanmenxia.
