Introduction Of Goat Parents And Its Feeding Technique Improved In Southern Zhejiang Mountainous Area

South Zhejiang, located on the boarder between Zhejiang province and Fujian Province, composed of Wenzhou, Taizhou and Lishui mainly. South Zhejiang features climatic characteristics of warmth, moist, abundant rainfall and full sunshine and has four distinct seasons. The mountainous area of South Zhejiang shows diverse vegetation and provides a perfect breeding ground for herbivores. Rapid development of private economy in South Zhejiang can't conceal an overall unbalance of economy, and the income level of more than two millions people is under the nation's average level, mainly centered in the mountain area. Economic opportunities for farming region depend on territorial environment, and an intensive study is necessary for the development of local agriculture, rural areas and farmers.In this paper we aimed at the improvement of husbandry techniques and productivity of goats in mountain areas of South Zhejiang. Introduction of goat parent as a cut-in point, we summarized the developing state of home and abroad goats industry and investigated local status and natural resource of mountain areas. By document research, survey, qualitative analysis and comparative analysis, we concluded a possible development pattern for improvement of goat breed and husbandry techniques.Based on the almost completed introduction of improved goat variety like Boar goat and Nanjiang yellow goat and the extension of non-conventional feed resources techniques, our study suggested a development pattern of publically harmless goat raising by exploitation of geographical features, climate, vegetation and labor structure in the mountain areas of South Zhejiang. This development pattern focused on goat propagation and hybridization technique, and integrated various techniques such as hybridization, high bed confinedness fattening, rapid fattening, standardized feeding, improvement of productivity, concentrate selection, utilization of forage grass and culture improvement of forage grass into a systematic, recipient, manageable and appropriate technology. Through promotion of leading enterprises, technological pushing, market pulling and areas integrating, this development pattern may boost the development of goat breeding industry in the mountain areas of South Zhejiang.
