Two hundred and forty early-weaned piglets (Landrace×Yorkshire,18±2-day-old, 5.20±0.51 kg) were randomly allocated into 4 groups. Each group including 6 replicates and with 10 piglets in it to study the effect of Hemicel(?)(a microbial feed additive researched and developmented by ChemGen in U.S., Containing P-mannanase mainly). GroupⅠ(control group) was fed with a corn-soybean meal basal diet; GroupⅡ(negative control group) fed with a diet whith the energy was 80Kcal/kg lower than control group; GroupⅢand groupⅣwere fed 200g/t and 360g/t Hemicell(?) on the basis of the negative control group diet, respectively. The experiment was divided into two stages: prophase (18-31d) and later stage (32-64 d), there are altogether 47 days. All piglets of every repeat were weighed on an empty stomach and keeping track of the growing index on the day 18,day 31 d,day 64. The digestion trial was did seven days before the test ending. Two pigs were blood from abdominal vein each repeat to test physiological and biochemical indexes of blood at the end of the test. The results of feeding experiments showed:(1) The low energy groups had a lower ADFI than the basal diet group in the 18-31d, Hemicell(?)had no stimulating effect on the ADFI in this stage. In order to improve ADFI, it was needed to supplement enough Hemicell (>200g/t) during 32-64d. ADFI was not significantly different between the groups in each experimental stage. (2) ADG,, Hemicell(?)had no obvious effect on the ADG in the 18-31d, the three low energy groups were lower ADG than basal diet group. The group supplement 360g/t Hemicell(?)had higher ADG than control group and negative control group during 32-64 d, the ADG of groupⅣwas 6%,3.7%,7.5% higher than groupⅠ, groupⅡand groupⅢ, respectively. It was not significantly different between the groups in all experimental stage in the 18-31d(P>0.05). (3) Hemicell(?)had little influence on F/G in the 18-31d. Hemicell(?)lower F/G, groupⅢand groupⅣwere 3.5%,6.4% lower than groupⅡduring 32-64d.The group supplement 360g/t Hemicell(?) had lower F/G than control group, groupⅣwas 3.6% lower than groupⅠ. It was not significantly different between the groups in each experimental stage (P>0.05). (4) Hemicell(?) reduced the rate of diarrhea in the 18-24d. GroupⅢwas 44.9% and 34.7% lower than groupⅠand groupⅡ, groupⅣwas 55% and 46.7% lower than groupⅠand groupⅡ. The two groups supplement Hemicell(?) had lower rate of diarrhea in the 25-31d. groupⅢwas 9.6%(P>0.05) and 37.1%(P>0.05)lower than groupⅠand groupⅡ, groupⅣwas 38.3%(P>0.05) and 57%(P<0.05) lower than groupⅠand groupⅡ. the rate of diarrhea in all groups was not significantly different in the 32-64d(P>0.05).Supplement Hemicell(?) increased cost per kilogram weight gain in the 18-31d,but during 32-64d, it was decreased, groupⅢwas 1.1% and 2.3% lower than groupⅠand groupⅡ, groupⅣwas 1.9% and 3.1% lower than groupⅠand groupⅡ. It was not significantly different between the groups (P>0.05)The results of digestive test experiments showed that Hemicell(?)improved the apparent digestibility of crude protein, the digestibility of crude protein in groupⅣwas 3.7% (P<0.05) and 4.2%(P<0.05) higher than groupⅠand groupⅡ. Hemicell(?) improved the apparent digestibility of crude fat, groupⅢand groupⅣwas 3.3%(P<0.05) and 6%(P<0.05) higher than groupⅡ, respectively. Hemicell(?) increased energy utilization coefficient, groupⅣwas 3.5%(P<0.05) and 2%(P<0.05) higher than groupⅠand groupⅡ, respectively. Hemicell? improved the apparent digestibility of crude fiber significantly (P<0.05). Hemicell(?) had no obvious effect on digestion and absorption of calcium(P>0.05) and there was a tendency that Hemicell(?) improved the apparent digestibility of P.The results showed that Hemicell(?) reduced the triglycerides, total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein and improved the high-density lipoprotein in the blood. groupⅣwas 5.7%(P<0.05) and 10.1%(P<0.05) higher than groupⅠand groupⅡrespectively The levels of Hemicell? in feed have no obvious effect on the triglycerides, total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein and low-density lipoprotein in the blood, the test results were very close(P>0.05). Hemicell? improved the albumin and total protein and reduced the urea nitrogen in the blood, but it was not significantly different(P<0.05). The lever of albumin in groupⅣwas 9.3%(P<0.05) and 10.1%(P<0.05) higher than in groupⅠand groupⅡon albumin. Feeding 360g/t Hemicell(?)improved the albumin and total protein, reduced the urea nitrogen in the blood than feeding 200g/t, but the tendency was not significantly. Hemicell(?) improved the T-AOC and SOD, reduced the MDA in the blood(P>0.05). The levels of Hemicell(?) in feed have no obvious effect on the T-AOC, SOD and MDA in the blood (P>0.05).Hemicell? improved the IgA in the blood, groupⅢwas 22%(P<0.05) and 21%(P<0.05) higher than groupⅠand groupⅡ, groupⅣwas 13.4%(P<0.05) and 12.4%(P<0.05) higher than groupⅠand groupⅡ, respectively. Hemicell(?) improved the igG in the blood, groupⅣwas 19.1%(P<0.05) and 30.7%(P<0.05) higher than groupⅠand groupⅡ,respectively. Hemicell(?)improved the lysozyme in the blood, groupⅣwas 40.2%(P<0.05) and 49.5%(P<0.05) higher than groupⅠand groupⅡ, respectively. The IgG and lysozyme were increased with supplementing more Hemicell(?), groupⅣwas 11.7%(P>0.05) and 24.8%(P>0.05) higher than groupⅢon IgG and lysozyme. In conclusion, supplement 360 g/t Hemicell(?)could improve ADG, ADFI, and reduce F/G, the rate of diarrhea and cost; the feed-efficiency of Protein, fat, energy, crude fiber was improved(P<0.05). Hemicell(?) could improve the antioxidant capacity, raise immune function of piglets, improve the lipid and protein metabolism, and it had a very positive effect on the production of Piglets.
