Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) is one of the dominant pests on legume crops and forages that has a large host plant extent. In order to know the effects of host plant on the development and reproduction of Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) at different host plants, conditions in the temperature of(23±1)℃, illumination time of 16 hours and relative humidity 80%, uses the life table to research the effect of horsebean, garden pea, luceren and sainfain, and four garden pea vaireties on the development and reproduction character of Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris). The research results are as follows:1. The effects of different host plants on the development and reproduction of Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris). The results showed that the development duration of Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) was significantly different. The nymphal duration of Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) on sainfain was 10.05 d which was longest between from four different host plants were tested. The longest adult life of Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) on the horsebean and garden pea, 14.64 d and 14.13 d, respectively(P<0.05); on the sainfain was shortest, only 6.69 d, centered on luceren, as 9.76 d.The experiment indincated that the instrinsic rate of increase were 0.2632, 0.2619, 0.2243, 0.2171, respectively, addication best on horsebean>garden pea>luceren>sainfain. The average producing on horsebean and garden pea was 63.79 and 60.25, there were significantly higher than that on luceren and sainfain; the average producing on luceren was significantly higher than that on sainfain. Results obtained from the study suggested that the horsebean and garden pea were suitable for Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) development and reproduction, sainfain had certen inhibitory effect on the population dynamics.2. The effects of different garden pea vaireties on the development and reproduction character of Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris). The results showed that the development duration of Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) was significantly different. The nymphal duration of Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) on G1997 was 10.86d which was longest between from four different host plants were tested, including Dingwan NO.1,Dingwan NO.2,grass pea and G1997. There were significantly different in the adult life among the four treatments that was 14.89 d,18.07 d,9.46 d,16.95 d, respectively. The study indincated that the instrinsic rate of increase were 0.2620, 0.2337, 0.2281, 0.1749 on Dingwan NO.1,Dingwan NO.2,grass pea and G1997, addication best on Dingwan NO.1>Dingwan NO.2>grass pea>G1997. The average producing was 67.58,66.21,39.65,47.40 among the four tyeatments that the highest on Dingwan NO.1 and Dingwan NO.2(P <0.05), the lowest on grass pea.The population dynamics of Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) on,G1997 and grass pea were significantly different that growth fastest on DingwanNo.2 and the slowest on G1997.The results showed that the Dingwan NO.1 and Dingwan NO.2 were suitable for Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) development and reproduction, G1997 had certen inhibitory effect on the population dynamics.
