Narcissus pseudonarcissus is a species of Amaryllidaceae in Narcissus L., which is a kind of world famous bulb plant with high ornamental value. Fertility of Holland Narcissus was less reported in our country. In this study, 14 cultivars of narcissus were used to study pollen vigor and pollen germination in different storage conditions, hybrid experiment and phylogenetic relationship. The results were as followed.The best collection period of narcissus pollen was studied by TTC method and the effects of temperature, sugar, boric acid, CaCl2 and PEG-4000 on pollen germination were evaluated by the orthogonal design with genotype Delibes. Pollen germination of 14 narcissus varieties was examined at different storage temperature and time. The results showed that the best pollen acquisition period was anther cracking but not powdered. The best culture and medium conditions was 5% sucrose, 0.01% Boric acid, 0.05% CaCl2 and 5% PEG-4000 for 2 h at 20℃with 85.7% pollen germination rate. Among five factors, sugar had the greatest influence on pollen germination. Narcissus pollen lose vitality completely for one month at 15℃. 4℃was favorable for short-term (1-3 month) storage and -18℃was better for long-term (6-12 month) storage. After 1 year's storage, pollen vigor of Spellbinder was strongest and Mondragon and Mount Hood were weakest.There were 29 hybrids could obtain seeds during 107 hybrids and no seeds were obtained from inbreds. 12 varieties were taken as maternal and paternal plant. Delibes, Pinza, Mondragon and Shangnong Zaochun were good maternal plant, while Marieke and Mount Hood were bad. Shangnong Dieying was good paternal plant, while Bamtam and Mount Hood were bad. Pinza had a strong fruiting ability. The 1000-grain weight of Shangnong Dieying was the max one.There were 16 primers could amplify stable bands. 13 DNA samples have 127 bands in total, and 96 bands appeared polymorphic, which was 75.6% of all the bands. Clustering analysis showed that 13 varieties of narcissus could be classified into 3 groups. Mount Hood, Marieke and Shangnong Zaochun which belong to Trumpery Narcissus were in group 1. Mondragon and Shangnong Dieying which belong to Split-cupped Narcissus, Pink Charm which belong to Large-cupped Narcissus were in group 2. Bantam, Salome, Delibes, Pinza, Fortissimo, Slim Whiteman and Prof. Einstein which belong to Large-cupped Narcissus were in group 3. Varieties have the same color of petal and deputy coronal which were usually classified in one group. The genetic similarity coefficient ranged from 0.449 to 0.780 betweeen 13 varieties of narcissus. The results showed that genetic relationship was close between different varieties, but there was little variation in different varieties of narcissus. The genetic similarity was high in the same type. Varieties from different type but have the same color of petal also had a high genetic similarity.
