Eggs are easy to be broken during the process of collecting, processing, transporting and circulation. It is concerning the interaction of egg and Mechanized poultry equipment, egg transport packaging equipment, processing equipment. It's therefore, necessary to intensively study egg's mechanical characteristics and broken mechanism to ensure the reliability and rationality of the equipments of egg's collecting, packaging, processing. In this article, the shape features and impact mechanical characteristics of eggs are combined, it's favorable to select egg, breed egg and improve the evaluation system of egg's quality; it's favorable to conducive collecting, packaging and transporting of egg, to provide theoretical guidance for the rational design of egg's processing system; it can provide objective data for art and design, and theoretical basis for mechanical models.The main content and conclusions of this paper were as follows:(1) Egg's images were collected and stored with the machine vision system, VC++ software was used to inspect shape index, symmetrical degree between two extremes, matching degree to ellipsoidal, curvature radius of midpoints of eggs. The distribution of all characteristic parameters and the correlations between pairs of factors were analyzed, the results showed that all characteristic parameters obeyed Normal Distribution approximately, the symmetrical degree had noticeable correlations with matching degree. Shape index, symmetrical degree and curvature radius of midpoints of eggs were three factors of measuring the shape figures of egg, excluding matching degree.(2) Impact test-bed was established, according to the principle of egg-collecting equipments and egg boxes. Height of skewed slot, length of skewed slot, material apron were three condition factors. The damaged area of egg was experimental Indicator. Base on Single-factor experiments of different height of skewed slot, different length of skewed slot and different material aprons, the influence of every factor on damaged area was lucubrated, Then, according to orthogonal experiment, the relationship between every factor and damaged area was analyzed,The study was conducted to descend on all factors.Experimental data was analyzed.The results showed the height of skewed slot, the length of skewed slot and material aprons all had very significant impact on damaged area. The height of skewed slot and damaged area were highly significant correlation, the correlation coefficient R is 0.998, F is 159.40; The length of skewed slot and damaged area were highly negative correlation, the correlation coefficient R is-0.956, F is 510.133.The decreasing sequence of material aprons which influence on damaged area is the steel plate, the glass and the plank. The decreasing sequence of all factors which influenced on damaged area is the height of skewed slot, the length of skewed slot, material apron.(3) Base on the experimental results, Impact test-bed was established whose height of skewed slot was 25cm, length of skewed slot was 40cm, material apron was the steel plate. Single-factor experiments of shape index, symmetrical degree, curvature radius of midpoints were made to lucubrate the influence of every factor on damaged area. Then, according to orthogonal experiment, the relationship between every factor and damaged area was analyzed, the study was conducted to descend on all factors.The results showed that shape index and damaged area were highly significant negative correlation, the correlation coefficient R is-0.894, F is 111.778; The curvature radius of midpoints and damaged area were highly significant negative correlation, the correlation coefficient R is-0.920, F is 176.583.The symmetrical degree hardly influenced damaged area. The decreasing sequence of all factors which influenced on damaged area is shape index, curvature radius of midpoints, symmetrical degree.(4) The correlation of shape factors and damaged area was analyzed. The linear fitting have been made. Grades of shape index, grades of symmetrical degree, grades of curvature radius and damaged area were highly correlation, the correlation coefficient R is-0.920, F is 176.583, the regression equation is as follow: y=10.433-0.572x,-0.005x2-0.467x3 (R2=0.985)The impact mechanical model revealed the varied law between egg's shape features and impact parameters. It can conduct egg's produce, transporting and designing of eggs processing equipments.
