Pinus tabulaeformis, and alternate name is Chinese Pinus,is China's endemic species,is also the important tree species for afforestation in north China. This experiment uses the mature embryos'cotyledon-epicotyls and Hypocotyls of Pinus tabulaeformis as the materials to study the techniques of the adventitious buds induction, adventitious buds growth and adventitious roots induction by orthogonal test .The main research results are as follows:(1)During the procure of adventitious buds formation from the mature embryos'cotyledon-epicotyls of Pinus tabulaeformis, basal medium and hormone also made important role .In the four basic mediums, modified 1/2 MS was best, others were the worse . The result showed that the optimal combination of the media was 1/2MS with 3 mg/L l 6-BA and 0.5 mg/L NAA, on which 46.7% explants was induced, average rate of propagation was 10,and the highest rate of propagation was 24.(2) During the procure of adventitious buds formation from the mature embryos'hypocotyls of Pinus tabulaeformis, basal medium and hormone also made important role .In the four basic mediums, modified SH was best, others were the worse . The result showed that the optimal combination of the media was SH with 3 mg/L 6-BA and 0.05 mg/L NAA, on which 11.65% explants was induced, and high levels of NAA was suppressive to it.(3) The weight and the weight percentage of the cotyledons - epicotyls has great influence on the adventitious buds induction, and the types of basic medium had some influence on the explants'efficiency of effective utilization. The weight and the weight percentage of the cotyledons– epicotyls is 5.04 mg ~ 5.25 mg and 75.3%~75.6% was the most optimal weight adventitious buds inducement. Which percentage was 50%, did not see the adventitious buds inducement, so the half of embryo's weight is not optimal weight to adventitious buds inducement. Meanwhile, in 1/2MS, GD and DCR three mediums, DCR can improve the utilization rate of the explants.(4) Different explants have important influence on the adventitious buds induction. Under the same basal medium combination condition, with the mature embryo, the cotyledon-epicotyls, the hypocotyls and the cotyledon as explants may induce calli, and the highest rate of calli was 78.3℅. And with the mature embryo, the cotyledon-epicotyls and the hypocotyls as explants may induce adventitious buds, the inductivity of mature embryo was 58.3℅, is smaller than cotyledon-epicotyls and the hypocotyls sum total 63.3℅.(5) Activated charcoal has prominent influence on buds growth and elongation. Adventitious buds growing can be promoted by adding 2g/L activated carbon in the medium, the rate of effective adventitious buds'was 43.55%.(6) During the produce of adventitious roots from the adventitious buds, basal medium and hormone also made important role .In the four basic mediums, 1/4MS was best, others were the worse. The result showed that the optimal combination of the media was 1/4MS with 0.15mg/LIBA and 0.15 mg/L NAA, the rooting rate was 30.45%.
