As the important large-scale representative plant protection equipment, the boom sprayers work on the field crops, while the tunnel sprayers work on the trellis crops. This thesis designed a sort of sprayer model which was all-in-one combining boom sprayer with tunnel sprayer and can be converted to use. It combined virtual instrument technology to achieve real-time detection of system parameters; the same time, it combined modern sensor technology to achieve automatic sprayer conversion and precision of the target pesticide.Based on the completed boom conversion mechanism, the mechanical systems of boom conversion sprayer was constructed, virtual prototyping technology was applied to simulate three conditions of the working sprayer. The primary objectives of this thesis were to set up measurement and control system, the author designed and selected the hardware of measurement and control system, also researched forms of hardware of different measurement and control system modules.This thesis designed the measurement and control system by virtual instrument technology, made use of graphical programming language LabVIEW to design programs of three modules of measurement and control system, three modules were data acquisition module,boom conversion module and automatic spraying module.The test equipment structure was simulated by Solidworks software, then the physical equipment was manufactured, besides made experiments in data acquisition module,boom conversion module and automatic spraying module. Experiments show that:data acquisition was easy and accurate; boom conversion was accurate,timely,smooth and safe; automatic spraying was intelligent,accurate,rapid and convenient and so on.
