| This paper mainly studyed the vertical distribution of actinomycetes and the resources of antagonism actinomycetes from different altitudes and different vegetations in the Northern of Taibai mountain.The results showed as fellow:1. 116 of the strains (82.3%)showed antagonism toward the target bacteria or fungi. Antagonistic strains accounted for 73.7% of the actinomycete strains isolated at 800 m, 86.8% of the strains isolated at 1845 m, 81.3% of the strains isolated at 3488 m, 78.9% of the strains isolated at 3655 m, and 82.3% of the strains isolated at 3670 m. Nearly 42% of the strains collected at 1200 to 2300 m and at 3400 m showed strong, broad spectrum antagonistic activity, indicating that these elevations had the greatest potential for the isolation of actinomycete strains with strong anti-biotic producing ability. Nearly 24% of the antagonistic actinomycetes showed antagonism against Staphyloccocus aureu. In addition, 2.4% of the antagonistic actinomycete strains showed activity toward Verticillium dahliae in cotton, 6.9% of the strains showed activity toward Phytophthora sp. in strawberry, and 11.2% of the strains showed activity toward Neonectria radiciccla in ginseng. We conclude that Taibai Mountain is a crucial region for the isolation of novel antibiotic-producing actinomycetes which might be used for medical or agricultural purposes.2. Six strains of actinomycetes axenic fermentation filtrate had a role in promoting seeds germinated and seedling growth The axenic fermentation filtrate extract from Act 16 showed inhibitory activity against Fusarium sp.,Fusarium equiseti, Fusarium oxysporum f .sp niveum, Fusarium oxysporun, Fusarium sporotrichioide, Fusarium oxysporun cucumberrinum, Pythiumaphanidermatum, Fusarium proliferatum, Fusarium oxysporum f .sp. Cucumberinum, Cylindrocarpon destructans, the inhibition rates were 100%, 75.0%, 79.0%, 81.8%, 71.4%, 81.4% and 88.2%.The axenic fermentation filtrate extract from actinomycete strains(Act 2, Act 7, Act 8, Act 11)showed inhibitory activity against Fusarium sporotrichioides and Fusarium proliferatum, the inhibition rates were more than 50%; The axenic fermentation filtrate extract from actinomycete strains showed inhibitory activity against Fusarium sp.and Fusarium proliferatum, the inhibition rates were 100%.3..The axenic fermentation filtrate extract from actinomycete strains( Act 2, Act 5, Act 13, Act 16 and Act 17)showed stimulative effect against germination potential in the diluted times between 100 and 1000, the stimulative rates were from 10.0% to 100%; Act2, Act11, Act13 and Act16 showed stimulative effect against concise vigor index in the 10000 times diluted, the stimulative rates were from 5.8% to 20.1%; Act2,Act11,Act17 showed stimulative effect against radicle length in the diluted times between 10 and 1000, the stimulative rates from 15.2% to 31.6%.4. Quantities of soil actinomyces related with the soil nutrient contents.It was not significant between soil available nitrogen content, soil available phosphorus content, soil pH and soil actinomycetes in the northern of Taibai mountain. But it was significant between the soil available potassium content , soil organic matter content and soil actinomyces in some indicators(P<0.05). When the altitude was 1845 m in the northern of Taibai mountain, the quantities of actinomycetes was the largest and the species of actinomyces was the most, the number were 5.87×105 cfu·g-1 and 50 , respective, quantities and species of the actinomycetes were fewer and fewer in the higher altitude. The actinomycete Streptomyces dominated in the soil , the percentage was between 70% and 71% in the low or high altitude and the percentage wasmore than 98% in the median altitude.5. Soil Actinomycetes Antagonistic Potentiality(SAAP)was defined as the nevaluation index about potentiality of actinomycetes resources. |
