Rice is one of the most important cereal crop in the world. The rice blast, which caused by Pyriculari grisea Sace, is one of the most destructive diseases in all rice growing areas worldwide. The brown planthopper(BPH), Nilaparavata Lugens, is one of the most serious inset pests of rice in our country. So breeding the resistant lines of rice is the most effect way to control the diseases and pests. The maintainer line 29B is a male-sterility maintainer line of indica rice with has great combining ability, aroma and high grain quality. On the preliminary work our lab using 29B bred a new maintainer line 1978B which contain Pi2.Now we used the donor 2048B to pyramid 3 resistance genes Bphl4, Bphl5, Pil into 1971B by anther culture and Molecular marks Assistant Selection. One of the DH lines SF-1 which contain the 4 resistance genes (Bphl4, Bph15, Pil, Pi2) performed well in the tests of leaf blast, neck blast and brown planthopper, It shows that MAS connecting with anther culture is one of the effective ways for rice breeding.Based on backcrossed line BC1F2 derived from the cross of Shuang8S and ChaotaiA,a genetic linkage map were constructed containing 124 SSR markers.Investigated the traits of rice flowing habits,7 QTLs were detected for the rice stigma exsertion. There were 3 QTLs for rice stigma exsertion rate, located on chromosome 3,11,12;2 QTLs for rice singe stigma exsertion rate, located on chromosome 2,4;2 QTLs for rice double stigma exsertion rate, located on chromosome 3,8.And 2 QTLs detected for stigma span, located on chromosome 2,7.There is no QTLs detected for the opening angle of spikelet.
