Resources Survey And Industrialization Of Wintersweet Cultivars In Chongqing

Wintersweet as a traditional flowers of the winter species, gradually be watched.In recent years, many scholars have done more research in cultivar classification, propagation cultivation, biological characteristics, applications, etc. However, on the national level, local development and research were unbalance.The study of wintersweet concentrated in the eastern and central region, while the western region was weak. Therefore, based on complete survey and classification of wintersweet cultivar resources in Chongqing, selected some superior cultivars, and conducted the develoption of Wintersweet industry in Chongqing. The main conclutions are as follows:1. Through systematic classification of wintersweet cultivar resources in Chongqing(The town of Jingguan Beibei, Southwestern University, Nanshan Wintersweet Tourist Park, Nanshan Botanical Garden, Flower Garden, etc.),88 cultivars were recorded in detail(19 cultivars of Chimonanthus praecox Concolor Group,29 cultivars of Chimonanthus praecox Intermedius Group,40 cultivars of Chimonanthus praecox Patens Group), including 30 new cultivars.2. Identification key to 88 wintersweet cultivars in Chongqing was compiled according to the diversity of characters.Then, summarized the characteristics of Wintersweet cultivars in Chongqing, and concluded the differences of the cultivars between the Chongqing and the Yangtze River Delta region.3. Based on the primary research and 48 primary cultivars of Wintersweet. With AHP, excellent traditional and new cultivars were picked out on the analysis of 12 comprehensive characters including middle-perianth color, inner-perianth color, flower scent, flower shape, flower diameter, number of perianth, length of efflorescent branch, Tree vigor, branching conditions (close degree of canopy), quantity and density of flowers, florescence, rarity.4. Through the pre-investigation of Wintersweet cultivar resources, the artical focused on the current status of industry in Chongqing and cleared the advantages and disadvantages in the industrial development, then pointed out that industrial development orientation and corresponding development strategies.
