There are many problems in dairy breeding, such as long breeding cycles, high technical requirements, multifarious production links and multifarious breeding data. With the development of pastoral farming, dairy farming scale has expanded, and the problems became more outstanding. By analyzing the actual demand of dairy farms, several problems are found:First of all, most domestic dairy farms don't have production links tips; second, some dairy production management soft wares are too expensive to popularization and application. To solve these problems, this research constructed a digital dairy production management system.The construction of the system used the technique of the .NET technology platform, used the structured development tactics and the object-oriented theory, used the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 as the development language and the SQL Server 2005 as the database, and also used the C/S framework as the architecture. According to the requirements in each production management link, the system designed in six modules: the manager module, the public module, the production management module, the veterinary module, the operation module and the statistical analysis module.The system designed to have four functions:A. The management of cattle ranch can complete the macro-management of court areas and the management of data files of cows. Including registration of cattle ranch, management of stalls, management of employees, management of herds changes, herds lists, entry and maintenance of basic information management. On this basis, the system can establish information cards on the foundation of the cattle's information files, and strengthen the cattle basic information query functions;B. The production management function can manage breeding, lactaton, disease diagnosis, even daily health care including shoeing, blind teat, size and weight measurement. The most important function is the intelligent forecast and hints of breeding events, such as estrus, mating, initial pregnancy test, second pregnancy test, delivering, also this part can monitor the lactation process in real-time and generate reports.C. The function of dairy product management, forage management and veterinary medicine management contains almost all the operation events of the dairy farms. These parts can manage inventory change data, timely monitor the dynamic substance state so the calculation of investment would be easier, and the daily operation of the dairy farm would be more transparent.D. Statistical analysis function can manage data of breeding, lactation, disease and operation. Basing on the data, this part can provide analysis projects and graphics analysis reports. Besides, the system also allows users to output data reports as excel files, so the reports would be more facilitate to print and browse.In conclusion, using the system can manage data, provide production links hints effectively, and offers a variety of techniques for cow farm to support and guarantee dairy standard operations, so the milk output and quality could be further improved, and make dairy obtain good economic and social benefits, which truly achieve fine, standardized cow breeding system, improving the informationization of dairy.
