| Heilongjiang Province is a main soybean-producing province in China, in which soybean yield is one third of that in the whole country, and is in the first place in China. Additionally, soybean industry is a pillar industry in development of Heilongjiang Province. Therefore, the research on the strategic zoning of soybean industry has been a focus in governments at all levels and research institutions. It has an important significance on promoting production development of soybean planting and growth of related industry chain. This paper first developed soybean information management system using the strong functions of data processing and analysis in geographic information system. Then, feature extraction model of soybean planting in Heilongjiang Province was established by principal component analysis and panel data model based on the data analysis of variables influenced on soybean planting. Finally, the zoning of soybean planting in Heilongjiang Province into strategic sub-districts by fuzzy clustering method was done, and the corresponding suggestions and countermeasure on soybean planting in Heilongjiang Province was given based on this result. This paper included three aspects.1) This paper developed the soybean information management system in Heilongjiang Province by using Visual Basic6.0 as development tool, using MapInfo as software platform, and combining MapBasic with OLE automation model for integrated secondary development. Its functions included soybean information retrieval and query, data statistic analysis, and demonstration of data visualization on soybean industry in county and municipal etc.2) Using the fifty-five counties (municipals) as research object and related data on soybean industry between 2003 and 2006, this paper extracted the features affecting on the soybean planting by principal component analysis and panel data model respectively, and sorted the soybean production levels of the fifty-five counties (municipals) in Heilongjiang Province. This result showed that various impact factors were divided into two principal impact factors, which included total soybean planting area and precipitation, and Nenjiang and Nehe were the maximum counties (municipals) in productivity by principal component analysis. The principal impact factor is precipitation in the whole year, when the value of regression coefficient R2 is 0.982296 and Fujin and Hailun are the maximum counties (municipals) in productivity by panel data model.3) Using the impact factors on soybean planting and fuzzy clustering method, this paper divided the seventy-nine counties (municipals) into various sub-districts. This result was contrasted with the division map of actual total soybean yield and total soybean planting area in various soybean-producing districts and forty-three low soybean-producing districts.This paper objectively analyzed and evaluated the resource characteristics of soybean planting in Heilongjiang Province and divided the whole soybean planting into sub-districts. This analysis and evaluation provided the scientific base for making decision on further study of soybean industry development in Heilongjiang Province, efficiently utilizing the existing soil resource and achieving take-off of soybean industry. |
