Yanhe basin is located in gully and hilly regions of Loess Plateau, is a tributary of the Yellow River, the area of Gullied Rolling Loess Region is more than 90%, soil erosion is serious in this region. The relevant national department has carried out the long-term management and a lot of research, whitch cause the vast amount of accumulated data and related research results. For effective organization and management and use of existing research results of the mass data dig out the important information, for water and soil conservation management personnel provide quick and accurate data analysis of soil and water loss forecast platform, a real-time dynamic tracking all management of soil and water conservation monitoring data, the department for macro forecast to provide the scientific basis for analysis. This study based on the 973 national projects (project Numbers:2007 CB407200)-the main area of water erosion of soil erosion process and control research, combining of the existing research results and distributed geographic information system technology, and to China's soil and water loss equation (CLSE) for calculation model, design and realized based on distributed GIS Yanhe basin of water and soil loss information management system. System using C/S and B/S mixed model, C/S model construction of distributed computing environment, B/S model to achieve soil and water loss of information WEB publishing, use of space database engine, combined with the relational database Oracle realized Yanhe basin mass raster data and vector data distributed storage and management. The main results are as follows:(1) Developmented of the soil and water loss Yanhe basin to realize information management platform for Yanhe basin, system of soil and water loss of data involved face domain wide, data types, characteristics such as up-to-date, in order to lay more than under network users can can at the same time of the data management and maintenance, in different areas of distribution management department data update provides a convenient and rapid information service platform.(2) Builted Yanhe river basin water Loss and Soil erosion in distributed database, China's Soil and water Loss Equation (CSLE), which according to rainfall, Soil, slope slope length, biological and engineering, cultivation measures related factors set up Yanhe river basin water and Soil Loss of distributed database.(3) Implemented the Yanhe basin of water and soil loss situation, the WebGIS issued promptly to Yanhe basin way of soil and water loss situation, not only released in water and soil conservation service managers, more important is the public through this free services can obtain abundant geographical information, and then expand public attention and influence.The results show that the GIS application of information technique can effectively promote the management of soil and water conservation, especially to promote the efficiency of distributed GIS application, the solution is different management department of regional Duo Yuan data organization and management of the effective way. Based on the system platform CLSE model of the soil erosion prediction are in good agreement with the results and the reality, the system platform on the river basin management. of soil and water loss has certain value of popularization.
